Detroit WR Marvin Hall is on crutches with a boot on his left foot following Sunday's loss to Washington.

When I mentioned to veteran S Tavon Wilson after the loss to Washington that they lost close to good teams -- but Washington was not, he said: "They were better than us today. So that gives you my thoughts on us." Can it be fixed? "It's football, anything can be fixed. Guys buy in, not that guys haven't bought in, but we just have to keep pushing. We play good in spurts on side of the ball, in spurts on the other side of the ball. We just have to get everything going in the right direction."

Matt Patricia said that Jeff Driskel is "sore" and that "he's a little tight" with his hamstring. Said it's tricky the day after the game. Said he's a quarterback so he can stay in the pocket if need be. Said the Lions will "see how it goes." Confirmed they reached out to Josh Johnson to do their due diligence. He didn't know the details on it. Lions had interest in signing free-agent QB Josh Johnson, but were blocked by XFL.

Matt Patricia said they "are trying to build something." Called it a process and said "it's hard to judge" where they are at the moment. He's encouraged by the fight in the team and the players who have been out there. Said there are signs of moving in a good direction. "For me, right now, it's about this week and trying to get ready for Chicago."

Matt Patricia said he talks with the Fords every week and that he wants to keep those conversations private. When asked if he's certain he'll be back next year, he said he's working at his job every day.

The future is on just before Thanksgiving, and the timelines are bleak.

The Detroit Lions have plenty of hard, correct choices to make before the post-Super Bowl reordering bonanza, and questions remain as to how this team will navigate such issues to arrive in playoff land.

The ask of a massive win delta with a coach who now has a record to rival Steve Mariucci is tall. One might argue that any good coach needs a third year to turn things around. Some would argue that the ticking clock on Matthew Stafford puts an urgency to finish this era of Lions football with the best possible staff, brought in as soon as possible.

We can only speculate and make our own opinions known, but speculate is what we?re good at on the Pride Of Detroit PODcast.

Patricia deserves part of the blame for running such a vanilla/shitty defense.

But all this is on Quin and the inferior talent he has pieced together. Not addressing the pass rush was more than just an oversight...it was just plain mother fucking stupid. Honestly, what special kind of dumbass are you?

Kerryon...everyone who knows anything about football knows he gets injured every single year. Except our GM.

Dline is terrbile. LBs are terrible. Secondary could be good but know one will ever know cause they need to cover for like 6 seconds per drop back.

Both guards need to go. TE is awful.

WR is literally the only position that is any good. But your "star" Andy Dalton has a broken back so that doesnt really matter.
