Tigers vs. Angels Preview: Please, just make the losing stop.
The Tigers are one game away from a winless West Coast road trip.

Well, I guess I'll be buckling in to treat myself to yet another humiliating Tiger loss on television this season...I think there might be another game or two on national television before the season is over...

update 6-0; 0 being a recurring problem. " Get better HITTERS"
WHY is V-Mart still starting as Tigers should be in full rebuild mold now!

Cabrera worth 5 to 10 wins says Gibson 5 being low. really, Well 10 can not help this team.

what is rebuild mold? Is that some kind of dangerous mold?

As far as V-Mart still starting....who cares? The Tigers suck, and they would suck with him in the lineup or without him.

Cabrera in his prime MIGHT have been worth 5-7 games. Him at this age and with his recent injury history probably isn't much better than a game or so.

I will disagree. Over Hicks, he is about 5 games better at 2018 performance for a full year. Over career norms, it is 5-10 games over Hicks or any replacement (Goodrum, Adduci, etc).

Boxscore.

Detroit was outscored 32-8 and shut out three times on the six-game West Coast trip to Oakland and Anaheim.

All but three of Detroit’s runs over 58 innings of play out West came in Tuesday night’s 11-5 loss to the Angels.

At the rate they are playing and having trouble scoring and pitchers sucking, the odds of winning 16 more games to not lose 100 on the season has dropped.
look out 4th place lead balloon.

UNHAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH.
The Tigers haven't won a series at Angel Stadium since August 2009, and they've lost 24 of their past 31 games in Anaheim.
They've also lost 31 of their 43 meetings overall with the Angels since September 2012.

11-31 in their last 42 games = .262 WPCT (worst in MLB in that time)

They have averaged 3.0 Runs Per game, worst in MLB (next team has scored 30 more runs).

They have scored 5 or more runs 12 times out of those 42 games, going 7-5 in those games. They have been shutout 8 times in the last 42 games. 23 times out of 42 games, they have scored 2 or less runs.

Pitching has been middle of the pack. 15 MLB teams have given up more runs.

As famous as Tony the Tiger is one would think he?s a Disney character and he lives out here in Anaheim, but he isn?t and he doesn?t.

He is at Kellogg?s cereal commercial character and he lives right there in Battle Creek Michigan.

And he is GREAT!
