Game 12: Packers @ Lions *Thanksgiving Game* Thread

Reggie summed that up well..."when we learn to get out of our own way, we can be pretty special."

ya could have easily been a 50 spot. if im being lenient we left 9 points on the board with the bush fumble, staff force to calvin in FG range and the missed fg from shitty akers.

It will be somewhat forgotten because of the beating we put on the Pack but you absolutely cannot turn it over 3 times, miss a chip shot FG, throw a bad pick (I thought the 1st pick was really bad) and kick 2 kick offs out of bounds.

I don't want to harp on any of that because we had a great win on Thanksgiving but we have to clean that shit up. You can't do that week in and week out and win. We have turned the ball over 16 times in our last 5 games (only once in the Bears game). And we are somehow 3-2 in those games. We even had a chance to be 5-0.

Even Suh's zits are mean looking. I'm sure it'll be hearing from the NFL this week and will be subsequently fined.

Stafford comments.

Asked if you take the dirt bag comments personally..."I don't know if you take it personally but you sure as heck hear it."

The Lions' line had 16 tackles, seven quarterback hits, five sacks and 2 two fumble recoveries.

Nice to finally see the dline show up this year, ziggy makes a big difference and I think we blitzed more today, funny how that works..

Flynn may have held the ball too long sometimes to didn't hurt but all in all good showing today D!

Lions 40 - packers 10: Lions feast on punchless Packers in Thanksgiving triumph.
from the detnews

I went to see my old mom at the nursing home and brought Thanksgiving dinner for us. We were in the activities room. There is a wide screen plasma tv there, so I was able to watch some of this game. iirc pack was leading early 10 - 3 and then the Lions started scoring.
Great Win over the packers, wish they had at least one one of the last two. Just keep winning and take the division.

For now, the Lions feel vindicated. Sitton himself said he wouldn't take the remarks back, but he called Thursday's loss "one of the worst beats I have ever been a part of. It's embarrassing."
