Miggy left the game with back tightness possibly from rounding the bases. Hopefully it is a day to day thing. Miggy's been dealing with back issues since the World Baseball Classic.

Tyler Collins extended his hitting streak to eight games with a single in the second inning.

Alex Avila has reached base in eight of his last nine plate appearances.
Avila has extra-base hits in 4 of the 5 games he has played this season.
He had doubles in his first two games and has hit home runs in his past two games, first time in back to back games since 2014.
Alex Avila's 412-foot shot over right-center field on Sunday gave him his second 400-foot homer this short-lived season, matching his total for such home runs in 2016.

The Tigers have homered in the first 12 games of the season, the first team to do that since the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 2007.

It's the first series win for the Tigers at Progressive Field since June 22-24, 2015.

Daniel Norris and Boyd -- combined to allow just one run over 12 innings in the two games.

Alex Wilson had a scary moment in the bottom of the seventh when he deflected a Yandy Diaz? comebacker right into his left eye.
Wilson recovered to get the out, shook off some blurry vision and a mild shiner, and proceeded to carve up Austin Jackson and Yan Gomes to complete a fine inning of relief work.

Alex Avila: Crushed his second home run of the series in the second inning. Added a single and a pair of walks as well.

Matt Boyd: Another strong outing from Boyd as went six innings, allowing just one run. Boyd gave up 7 hits and 2 walks and just 3 strikeouts.
He still needs to learn to finish hitters off, but he also has the stuff and composure to keep a dangerous lineup in check.

Jose Iglesias: A double, a walk, and a slick delayed steal to go with his usual steady hand at shortstop.

The Wilsons: The Wilsons were dominant, pitching clean 7th and 8th innings with a pair of strikeouts each. Alex in particular featured some outstanding breaking balls. More of that please.

I don't mind him but I'm not sure speed of your fastball relates to base on balls.

0 walks but 2 HR over 6 innings. 1 was 0-2 count the other 0-1 count. Maybe wasting a pitch isn't a bad thing, he can clearly get guys to fish. Over the course of the season things will level out and I expect he will have another solid year and the HR's will go down.

HR's are more flukey than walks. A slower fastball means you have to work around the edges a lot more often, which he does, yet his control has been no problem so far. That is when you know is closer is prone to blowing saves and leads, when he gives up walks. Todd Jones rings a bell?

While I fully agree with what you are saying there is zero excuse for giving up an 0-2 HR, that is not locating your pitches, no way a guy with as many career saves as him throws that hittable of a pitch on purpose.
