Pettigrew fuckin sucked. Ebron was solid but also not utilized. Hock is good. Ragnow is good. Decker is good. Tomlinson and Reiff were below average. Best never played.
2nd round talent was worse.

You can’t make the argument that our GM sucked with his picks and then turn around and make the argument that Stafford has been surrounded with 1st round talent.

Over the years, what player has Stafford made better? You can point to any of the elite QBs throughout our recent years (Brees, Brady, Rodgers, Wilson) and find multiple obscure WRs or RBs on those teams that came out of absolutely nowhere simply because their QB put them in the best spot available.

The best QBs in the sport can find those diamonds in the rough and mold them and make them a part of the offense. Stafford doesn't do that. He's good enough for what he is- a guy with a great arm who can make great throws but can't win the big game and makes mistakes in the most crucial of moments.

He is who he is. He'll go to another team and be alright. The narrative that he'll rattle off 5 straight super bowls on another franchise is ridiculous. The dude has never faced any serious pressure at the highest of levels in the playoffs.

Over the years, what player has Stafford made better?

Tate, Durham, Pettigrew, Broyles, Fuller, Jones, Bell.....all had their best years under Stafford.

Also, what you fail to mention is that all those guys (outside of Tate and maybe Jones) were so bad that they did nothing or almost nothing after leaving. So Stafford has had to make guys not good enough to even stick in the league a vital part of the offense. Durham was our number 2 for almost 2 years. Kris Durham.

Stafford is who we thought he was. He was who we thought he was. Who the hell plays regular season games likes its the Super Bowl. MATT STAFFORD IS WHO WE THOUGHT HE WAS. THAT'S WHY WE DRAFTED HIM. NOW IF YOU WANT TO CROWN HIM CROWN HIS ASS! Matt Stafford is who we thought he was and we drafted him anyways.
