Tigers braintrust won't be fielding a significantly better team on offense/defense with little in the minors to help it improve, and Ilitch being loathe to spend much in FA. If they improve by 10 games or more, it will be mostly b/c their SP roto and BP will pitch much better.

They might have better pitching, maybe..but you need offense to score runs.

Look at the fail agent market, Harper's nags are fighting to stay above .500, Machado's 4th place pods can not be happy. They need to do find those players that another organization isn't giving a chance or hasn't provide the right coaching. The Luke Vogt, Mike Tauchman and Gio Urshela type acquisitions. There is talent to be had every year. Heck, even Niko Goodrum types would be wanted.
