Have to keep looking once in a while tonight @ the ESPN NFL standings online & rub my eyes in disbelief...31 looong years ago when I was much younger (and much healthier), was the last time that I read the NFL standings in the sports section of the Detroit News, when the Lions were atop their division (Central) w/ a 4-0 record @ the beginning of the '80 season. Of course, what happened after that was something that I don't care to remember...well, but that was then & this is now, two vastly different Lions teams. No bragging, no songs, no silliness w/ this Lions team!! They still have their quirks and warts, and there is still 3/4 of the season to go yet, but I would like to thank Schwartz and Co. for giving this now much older and wiser dude a big jolting boost in eager weekend (and MNF/TGD) Lions football gameday anticipation so far this season!!
