Regardless I think its petty of him to blame the lineup. Miggy has gone from one of my favorites to least desirable.
 
don't you think the reason he isn't getting the IBB is because the opponent knows that he can't beat them with a HR or XBH? Singles hitters don't get intentionally walked very often.


I never wrote anything to the contrary. I am just pointing out the BB% is still they same rate if you normalize for the lack of IBB. That's all.



Listen, his excuse is lame. He is still chasing more pitches then he normally does. Pitchers are not throwing him as many fastballs or balls in the strike zone. But when he is making contact, it is hardest contact as ever in his career, he is just not elevating them.

And they are falling in for hits .371 BABIP
 
Who cares if he hits them hard. He's not being paid to be a sub .700 OPS guy. And the IBB aren't happening because he's Brandon Inge right now. So the less fast balls, less strikes are because of Miggy and no one else.
