Tigers vs. Marlins Preview: The ugly has gotten even uglier.
Being swept by the Astros was expected. Being swept by the Athletics is excusable. Potentially being swept by the Marlins? Oh no.

Someone has to be fired if they get swept by the other hapless team. I wonder who'll be the scapegoat because we know Lloyd isn't going anywhere.

Miguel Cabrera singles in the 4th inning for the 2,726th hit of his Major League career, tying him with Chipper Jones for 60th in MLB history. Next on the list is Tony Perez with 2,732 hits.

Tigers chicken scratch across a run boyd 6ip 5 hits 0 runs 102 pitches gives way to the gaspen to f' it up.

If Miggy was healthy last 2-3 years he'd have 2900+ hits by now. I would still love to see 3000 from him.

F'n Lugo, now Greene blows the save,

This f'n bum was batting a Buck fifty, grand slam, fuck these clowns.

Oh well. That didn't finish well. At least we have the rest of the day. Small moments.

Tigers now just 2 back of last place. Can they do it this weekend?

ex-Tigers who were on the infamous '03 team, must be beginning to wonder if this current rendition of ongoing failures will be able to take away their AL crown for losses in a season. Even they didn't lose every game in a 9 (that should have been 10) game homestand. In fact, I have read some articles awhile ago about the 53-109 '96 Tigers team actually being worse in some stats than the '03 team was.

The Mutts just swept the Gnats in 4 straight, after being swept themselves by the Fishies last weekend...a more accurate question would be can these mostly piss-poor excuses for a Major League team, avoid being swept yet again this weekend?
