Game 53 Tigers vs. orioles May 28, 2019

Tigers have signed former Royals 1B Frank Schwindel to a minor-league deal. He hit 38 doubles and 24 HR last year at Omaha, went 1-for-15 for KC early this year and was DFAed two weeks ago.

Another "no walk" guy. And at soon to be 27 year's old in a rookie season, he has no upside.

Ronnie gets careless in the field, maybe lazy. At times he looks great and other times he's like "oh the ball here it comes, muff."

Also...

Jake Rogers this year (AA + AAA)

153 PA
.300 BA / .425 OBP
25 walks & 36 K
16 XBH including 8 HR

Every team almost 100% of the time won't bring a player up from the minors so they don't start the FA clock a year early,
I kind of think, maybe one might come up early say July/August, then maybe another comes up.
Rogers is one who should get a look at least for September. I would be surprised if it was one of the star pitcher like Mize or Manning. Burrows or Funkhouser would not surprise me because of their age.

In the mean time, we will continue to get the kind of player callups that hurt our collective eyes to see them hit, field, or pitch most of the time.
