Tigers pregame just had the woman who was filmed assisting the stunned goose in the stands last night. Turns out that she is a season-ticket holder and a veterinarian who was seated nearby where the goose struck. What a coincidence and a lucky break for the goose.

Tigers gave her some souveneirs and she was asked to throw out the first pitch of todays game. Either she turned it down or FSD didn't broadcast it.

Can't the Tigers sign someone off FA if we're b going to roll with this bum

He is terrible

The dude was barely serviceable as a AAA starter last year and has been possibly the Hens worst starter this year.

He sucks

they should have let the goose die. They are a nuisance.

Zimmerman, Norris, and Liriano on the DL...maybe the Tigers should consider doing like the Rays starting their pitching staff in reverse.

Jones becoming a magnet for HBP by Angels pitchers this series.

Nick has been really good this year. He will be a FA in 2020. I wonder if he's in the Tigers long-term plans?

It wasn't injured, but that would have been "great" PR for the ballclub to let it die, had it been.

oh..you said it was a lucky break for the goose that there was a vet nearby. I assumed that the vet saved it's life. I guess it was a lucky break that the goose wasn't even injured.

In other news, the Tigers scored 5 in the first and the new guy got his first ML hit, infield single.

It must the Goose, the Goose that sparked the Tigers.

Well, there's some kind of outage on the feed of the cable network that telecasts the LA Angels of Anaheim baseball games.

Don't get that many chances to see the Tiges on TV.

Maybe they'll get it fixed soon.

Now they are going to need to locate that goose again, put it in a goose cage and carry it around with the club.

I don't know if the vet saved its life or not. Maybe it was just stunned, and that might be why it didn't fly off again right away.

Geese are protected? I thought people in Michigan went goose hunting. I know goose is sold as poultry in grocery stores and at some restaurants, especially around Christmastime.

Maybe the team, if it continues to play, should take the goose around with it for the end of the season, and then eat the goose when the season is over.
