Boxscore.

WORTH NOTING

* Tigers second baseman Dixon Machado doubled seven times in the first 11 games of the season and then added only two more over the next month-and-a-half.

On Saturday, Doublin' Dixon doubled twice, his 12th and 13th this season.

* Tigers right fielder Nicholas Castellanos now has 24 multi-hit games this season, including four in the row, after RBI hits in back-to-back at-bats on Saturday.

* Tigers third baseman Jeimer Candelario has now reached base safely in a league-high 27 consecutive games. He led off the game with a home run to left.

* Jays catcher Luke Maile, who entered the game on an 0-for-20 skid, doubled and homered in his two at-bats.

* For the second game in a row, Jays reliever John Axford took the long, circuitous and inefficient route to the mound via the bullpen cart. If the cart were allowed to drive on the grass, it might get their quicker and have more relievers willing to ride it.
