Well The Tigers have a nice little winning streak going on. Of the 4 choices below, which Tigers team holds the all time record for the longest winning streak at 14 games?

1984 Tigers
1968 Tigers
1966 Tigers
1934 Tigers

I knew it wasn't '84, too easy. I just guessed, Google proved I was right. But I had no idea really. But there were 2 teams that won 14 in a row.. the other team isn't listed. At least from my little research.

From July 31-Aug 14 the 1934 Tigers won 14 games in a row. Still the franchise record.
The 68 team got 11,
The 84 team won 9 in a row twice ( and 17 consecutive "road" wins interrupted by home losses)
the 66 team won 6 in a row twice.

Speaking of streaks...I watched about 3 minutes of the game last night right when the Astros walked off for their 12th straight win. They got it going on there(again), that team is fun to watch. When they are in town in September I am going to catch a game, especially of our boy is pitching.

They did it by tanking a few years.

I'd happily put up with a tanking Tiger's team for a few years if we come back that good and win a WS. Lol

I thought about that but I'm not sure I could put up with it. 3 plus years is a long time and their is no guarantee.

Plus this team is fun to watch.
