Hicks' 7th homer, a solo shot, put the Tigers on the board in the 2nd.

Nick's 12th homer, a 2 run shot, puts the Tigers up 3 in the 3rd inning.

jays tie it up in the 5th, 3-3 including a 2 run homer by grichuk off Boyd.

Nice basket catch in the RF corner by Castellanos.

Why do they keep playing Victor rather than getting a young guy some AB?

So the 2018 tigers are now just as bad as the 2003 tigers with thier 11 straight loss, maybe they can challenge that worst season ever mark the 2003 tigers fell just short of.

FU Avila and Ilitch's son.

Traded off every star player except Miggy for a bunch of prayers in what we know was a salary dump,

Attendance is down, there won't be even a 10 game winner on this staff, stuck with hacks, rookies, 4 AAAA's, and an old worn out VMart who should be let go at least by the end of July.

Before anyone says they had to get young and cut payroll, listen, smart front offices know how to load up on the fly, that is drafting good young players who can grind out at bats, have an eye for the strike zone, and those teams have better scouting and talent evaluators, keeping star veteran players, trading off parts, and reloading, not this complete rebuild because they sucked at drafting and trading for good players because of an incompetent front office. Tigers ownership and front office are a bunch of dimwitted fuckheads.

First two guys got on in the 8th no outs
Candy short pop fly out
Vmart hits one off the pitcher trickles out towards second and still thrown out by a mile anyone but victor beats that out next guy flys out to right and if vmart is any faster at all than a turtle that’s a sac fly but nope tigers fail to score go on to lose again

Agree victors lack of speed cost this team runs avila needs to cut the loss

Incompetent GM and an owner who doesn’t care about winning. That’s a very bad combination. They should lose 100+ this season.

Maybe, but don't forget, they face some stiff competition from two teams in their own division who are already substantially - and still - ahead of them in that chase.

They aren't going to win less than 10 games during the second half, b/c of playing the royals, white sox, and rangers. But next season could be a different story.

Wouldn't surprise me if the Tigers keep playing Martinez until September roster expansion, unless he suffers an injury requiring a long DL stint or season-ending.
