You couldn't get a used adult diaper for Maeda and Wentz.

Joey Wentz has a 6.50 ERA over his past 142.2 major-league innings.That is a pretty large sample.
Wentz allowed one run in his first 13.1 IP, since then 23.1 IP 22 ER Why is he still in the major leagues..they have zero other options. pathetic.

Bottom line..when you have numerous players on your roster who do not belong in the major leagues..you did a terrible job..and you just don't to do a terrible job in year two..not after promises..and 7 years of being bad.
A large part of why kenta Maeda Mayday is on the team is..Matt manning has been just as bad at TOL as he's been in the majors..so he's not a viable option..and the POBO has nobody else..not a single minor league SP worth promoting..not a BP guy worth starting.
Sometimes we all make a mistake..it's how you handle that mistake..you can hide..or admit it..what will Scott Harris do? .what has he done in the first 23 months.
The problem with wasting 24M on a terrible FA signing..is when you are Scott Harris..you will never admit the mistake.
