Game 88 Tigers vs. royals July 13, 2019

You're right TM, gonna be tough to win another 20 games with this anemic offense,

IMO legendary Lloyd does a terrible job helping hitters figure shit out within a reasonable time period and needs to be fired years ago, McCann leaves Detroit and becomes an all star that?s an unacceptable job by the organizations coaching staff, the hitting coaches are fucking clueless clowns

I don't understand how Lloyd stays here with each manager change. Are these manager's lazy they can't hire their own guys?

Nothing is going to change for the better until the cheap bastard son sells the team, and a new owner gets rid of Avila, Chadd, Owens, Littlefield, Pleis, Crespo, and a bunch of other 20th century old farts, and hires some smart, analytics types who don't have their heads up their asses, and get some top notch medical staff in the minors and Tigers in place instead of the bald 400 pound trainer in the Tigers dugout and the stiffs in the minors. How do all these pitchers keep coming down with sore arms??

Who's here longer Little I, Avila or Lloyd.

With 7th-inning K of Adalberto Mondesi, Matthew Boyd ties Tigers record with 10+ K's in three consecutive starts. He shares mark with good company:

Justin Verlander, 2009
Mickey Lolich, 1971 (twice)
Denny McLain, 1968
Mickey Lolich, 1964
Hal Newhouser, 1946

Too bad the owner told Avila to trade off every good player but Miggy, and they would trade him if they could, and sign or bring up 4 AAAA and never will be players. #HitlessWonders

Kitties lose their 5th in a row, the series and are ripe to be swept tomorrow, further cementing themselves in the AL Central cellar.

Boyd's 10 K's make Tigers history in loss to royals.
Lefty laments season-high 4 walks, including 3 in pivotal 6th.

Detroit Tigers observations: Matthew Boyd builds trade value, but the offense does little.

I would love to hear what Alex Avila would say about his resurgence in Chicago.

After last being @ .500 on 04/24 @ 12-12...the pussycats lost very close to 3 out of every 4 games in the first half of the season. Since game 81, they have gone 1-5...so it is extremely unlikely that they will go .500 for 24 games within July, August, or September. Even though the last month is when roster expansion takes place, they still won't sniff going 12-12 at any point again...and could wind up finishing 48-114 or maybe worse.

I think worse. This team is terrible!

Since May 12th, they are 10-39 .204 WPCT, 2 1/2 games worse than BAL. That is a pace of 43-119, exactly as the 2003 team. The 2003 had 17 of its top 25 players, age 26 or younger. The 2019 has only 9.
