Get a load of this moron.

Right it was Bush's non-response that must have caused the war and untold unecessary pain to people who lost a loved one that day. Maybe saying hours of non-response is supposed to elicit some kind of what - shame?

The DNC was all cherries and rainbows, and of course the RNC was rape and pillage and everything bad. You are so transparent it's ridiculous.

Could you be any more partisan?

Sheesh!

Could you possibly lighten up just a bit and find a sense of humor buried way down deep in there?! Goodness. And I didn't say shit about "rape and pillage" Mr DramaQueen -- all I said was that the 2008 DNC was pretty much a big party, while ---- BY CONTRAST ---- the 2004 RNC was not.

Now, imagine the 2012 DNC planning to hold its pre-election muckety muck in Phoenix, AZ or in Dallas, TX or a place like Oklahoma City this year to ....you know, play up the "immigration friendly" theme and try to garner votes like that.

It would be sort of similar to the RNC going into Manhattan in 2004, wouldn't it?! Probably a lot more "disruption and violence" (not necessarily rape and pillage) if the "Dems" decided to host their big party in a GOP stronghold.

gee. numbnutz in post #3 really derailed this thread with his nonsense about "most" rallies related to the democratic party ending in violence...

If you live in a world far removed from reality, I could see how one would believe something so absurd.

Yeah. Nobody has called me out for the (sort of funny) hypocrisy of it yet, but for a guy that picks on Krugman for wasting his platform and intellect arguing against the most doofus-esque arguments of the doofuses, I sure do like to spend my time on a board with a bunch of people doing the exact same thing.

I guess if I want an out I can always say that since we don't all have Nobels, we can hold Krugman to a higher standard.

Yep - sorry - I get rankled at the lopsidedness here every so often. Sometimes it bubbles over, usually because chumpy had something stupid to say. Now that I think back on it, I can see I should not have commented.

BTW
The words chosen (e.g. cherries and rainbows) for the DNC description were not meant to be words you used but euphemisms for how things were being depicted - that is all.

... Hypocrisy is thick within the Democrat party.

true, but that's no different than most, if not all political parties.

take for example the way we're supposed to "support the troops," pay our debts, live within our means, respect the military, and be personally accountable... unless of course, you're a Tea Party Republican who's opponent in the fall election is a purple heart winning Iraq War veteran, who lost both of her legs in combat, and you owe close to $100,000 in child support and spousal support, and you miss court hearings related to this... then you can do the opposite of all that and it's okay.
