They should charge $10 to let you take a picture behind a podium with a backdrop of the aircraft carrier tower and the Mission Accomplished banner.

That's quite a shindig they're having there in Dallas today...

Still, better than Gore would have been and I voted for Gore. In hindisght Gore has repeatedly demonstrated why we were more fortunate Bush won that election. Hate Bush all you want, Gore is a fucking nutcase.

ya'll dern tootin butt ya'll dun need ta larn howta spellit lak we all do roun heyah.

The whole Club is there...the reporters were saying that it's unusual...but for this type of event, I think it would be unusual if they weren't all there...

They all get together normally when one of them has their library opening ceremony, and then when one of them dies.

Obviously no departed president attends a library dedication; however, there is always one in attendance at a funeral.

Meanwhile W is all cryin' and shit, just as he completes his dedication speech.

Sorry? Did you view an alternate reality in which Gore was elected...I mean picked, by the Supreme Court and went on to be president?

Because otherwise that's a pretty large assumption based on the known history of what GW did.

Yes.

zyxt has a nanobot chip that enables him to view alternate realities.

oh man, you could have a field day with this stuff... it's more fun to ignore how sad and horrendous the results were.

They'll probably start adding the controversial crap after a while passes, they normally do.

For example, Monica Lewinsky's blue dress is set to be added to the Clinton Library in 2015, and the famous cigar is set to be put on display in 2017.

This is from one of the left wing liberal on line "rags" that you probably love...

Reason #2 corroborates byco's claim.

Reasons 1 and 3 are valid too I think.

I guess. That article irritates me, as I consider the narrative pundits create to be absurd. but then I remember, so were the reasons a lot voters gave for voting for Bush: "seems like the kinda guy I'd rather have a beer with" or "he's a big picture guy. he doesn't worry about details."

since most people read Time and other "news" magazines, and precious little actual policy information is at issue during presidential elections, I guess those reasons are as good as any!

Not enough people were scrutinizing what the Cheney pick and all the appointments Bush would make from chicken-hawk, pro-war organizations would mean

given their singular focus on invading Iraq, it's difficult to imagine a scenario in which Gore could have possibly screwed up worse than that. I can't. Even assuming Gore would have made some terrible domestic policy decisions, they still couldn't conceivably add up to the cost of the Iraq War (which we're still paying for).

full disclosure: I voted for Bush in 2000.

EDIT: Or rather, the immature 20 year old version of me did. Ha.

(though Michigan went for Gore, regardless)

So Gore hasn't shown mental instabilities to the point of being made fun of on South Park? He hasn't demonstrated ineffective leadership on the environmental front?

Sorry that you lack an ability to extrapulate how those would have resulted in worse reactions to 9/11, then again you probably would have been fine even if Gore actually nuked the entire Middle East simply because you are a Liberal Extremist and the Dems never do anything wrong in your black and white world.

Edit: not saying gore would have nuked the middle east, just that IF he did, Liberal Extremists would have been fine with it simply because he was a Democrat. I'm quite certain if gore chose to nuke the middle east it would not have been due to terrorism, but due to his desire to rid the world of using fossil fuels...unless they are used for his own heat and electric of course.
