Gotta Feeling Mayhew..

we already have recepticon and TIT. Tit was a transformer wasnt he I remember liking them as around the same time. And now.

they're in a good position to get an CB and then OL(interior) in the first three rounds

If a receiver is bpa mayhew will take him. Imo detroit needs another wr. They used 3 wrs about 70% of the time last year. They got very lucky that all 3 stayed healthy. Wanna make that same bet? And like ppl have said, nate has 1-2 years left.

Petsonally i think Wright is the 2nd best wr in the draft but w/e. Point is WR is absolutely in play. Its bpa at wr, rb, oline, de, lb, cb, and safety

The offense already has enough talent. We didn't have a chance last year against the better teams because of the defense, namely the secondary. Adding Hill doesn't do jack for us. Titus can be a good number 2 when Nate leaves. WR would be a wasted pick.

ya....Millen is gone , WR at #23 after taking one in rd 2 last year and just feeding your #1 60 million in guarantees....not going to happen.

I don't see the Lions putting more into the WR position unless through free agency

Agreed Motown, but he's also said he loves building to his strengths, so you really never can tell.

Mayhew and Schwartz both seem to have the belief that you will never be strong at every position, so it's better to be overly strong at a few than weak while trying to be perfect.

If they took DT at 23, that means our best DT Suh plays less which makes no sense. Last year with Fairley it made sense because in 2010 Suh played a ton but another DT would just be over doing it.

If a WR is far and away the best player available, he's the guy.

I don't really think this discussion matters though, since I highly doubt WR is BPA when they get to #23. Someone will fall at another position.

No.

If / when Avril signs the tag offer, Would a 2nd and 4th or 5th be out of line? Sure there is some team out there who overvalues what Avril can do.

I'd take it in a heart beat. But Avril, from what I was told, can try to sign a LT deal with someone else now, though we can match but I haven't seen him visit anyone.

If he signs with someone, they'd have to give up 2 first rounders. No one is doing that.

You can improve a defense with continuity/coaching. Who did the Giants add as a starter in their defense last year? Guys like JPP and Aaron Ross, who were on the roster the year before, stepped up.

New England's defense sucked two years ago, while their offense was amazing. What did they do in the 2011 draft? 4 of their first 5 picks were offense. Why? They draft BPA. Its that simple. Good teams draft the best players.

Giants went CB in round #1 and if he hadnt have snapped his leg he would have started at CB.

Maybe if they went defense they win another SB.

Marvin Austin the Giants 2nd round pick was also on his way to earning a starting spot until he was also injured before the season and missed the year...

so the Giants went CB and DT in rounds 1 and 2.
