Catcher: Johnny Bench

2b: Lou Whitaker
3b: Mike Schmidt
SS: Cal Ripken
LF: Rickey Henderson
CF: Ken Griffey Jr.
RF: Reggie Jackson
RHP: Pedro Martinez
LHP: Randy Johnson
REL: Rollie Fingers

Some really good hitters in this list.
Seems like the top DH might come from Frank Thomas, Edgar Martinez, and David Ortiz.
Molitor, McRae, Baylor, Davis, Baines were no slouches either.

Tough call between Thomas and Martinez, but I went with Martinez, only because I think Thomas played more 1st base than DH.

I chose Thomas and really don't think it's that close...and that is not a slam against Edgar.

Career Away

Martinez 119.19 RC/650 .926 OPS

Thomas 117.95 RC/650 .925 OPS

Pretty even if you asked me.

Weak argument: Detroit board.

I chose Edgar...I LOVE Frank Thomas but I always think of him as more of a 1B I guess. I'd be interested in seeing how many games he played at each if anyone wants to post it.

Wow...maybe I should retract my vote n go for Frank.

I think I partially voted for Edgar because he was MR DH...He was the 1st person I looked at as a true DH and that did it very well.

I find it funny that there's a mariner in a lot of these. Griffey, Arod, Ichiro, Johnson, Edgar. And they haven't won SHIT lol.

but remember the big Hurt got most of that by playing 1st base,Martinez was a DH for a lot longer.
