What you eat Matters.

Fuck all factory farms and the politicians who support them and or pass aggro laws to cover up the facts and give them cover. The day of environmental reckoning is coming in this world sadly unless we change our ways.

Bayer and Monsanto are merging and dropping the Monsanto name, fyi.

well Bob, unless you are a vegan, you probably support them too.

Not sure what you are saying ? Stopped eating meat, chicken, and dairy, and fish over 2.5 years ago when my wife did over 3 years ago. I mentioned this on this board many times over that period of time. Sure I support going vegan. There has to be a better way. Plants are much better for you.

I didn't know you quit eating meat. I don't pay too much attention to everyone's eating habits or what they post about their eating habits. That said, I love eating meat. I had a great Angus NY strip for dinner on Saturday. I will probably cook some burgers on the grill tonight. There is a meat market here that makes these bacon cheddar burgers. Good stuff.

You can keep doing your part to save some animals...I will continue eating them.

It?s better for people?s health and it is better for the planet, and my guess is that humans will evolve more towards being vegan in the future. Weather it?s health reasons or environmental reasons or ethical reasons. It?s weird though how the meat and dairy industry need laws to protect them. Heck the government has been covering for these industries for years. I guess they were just smarter then big Tobacco companies.

Getting people to go vegan is difficult, but twice as many people eating half as much meat has the same impact on resources. I wouldn't be surprised to see an "eat less meat" campaign if times get tough. The US seems like the last place this would happen though. Here, we're more likely to just jack up the price of meat until less of it is eaten.

Just keep in mind that the planet and environment are two very different things.

Yeah once we fuck the environment up the planet will be unlivable !!! Start taking Astronaut lessons and get on that waiting list for Mars lol!

Part of the planet (the surface) is our environment. There are few exceptions. Perhaps someday our environment will include other places. When people talk about our impact on the planet or the environment, the distinction isn't particularly useful, because everybody knows what they mean. If you make the distinction in just the right way, it's funny, but that's about the limit of the usefulness of the distinction.
