Headed to Bern-a-palooza tonight.

I don't (and won't) get into R vs D bullshit on here but do you have a shitty memory or just a selective one? The 2012 Iowa Republican caucus was a shit show and had to be completely revamped for 2016. Before you start complaining about the smell of other people you better check your own pants first.

You won't get into the R vs D bullshit but you will bring up the past and try to make the point that "Republicans do it too". Although, it's not really the same is it? I don't recall any accusations of fraud or misdeeds. Maybe some errors in the process but didn't they at least do a recount or review of the process, correct the mistake and make sure the the right person won? And didn't the chairman of the Iowa Republican Party, who didn't cast a vote or endorse a candidate step down because of the mess? Sounds like they at least took a shower and changed their pants.

Here's a little bit on the Chairwoman of the Iowa Democrat Party..."The Iowa Democratic party chair who is refusing to release raw vote totals from Monday’s state caucuses is a long-time Hillary Clinton supporter who donated to the politician’s various campaigns and who reportedly drives a Buick with the license plate “HRC 2016.”

Did anyone watch that last debate? Some are saying Clinton has shifted into attack Sanders mode.

I had it on in the background, so I didn't catch everything. Most of what I heard...

- Sanders highlighted his many campaign donations from small donors along with his dislike for Wall Street and money in politics. This led to discussions about Hillary accepting corporate money along with her ties to Wall Street and she saw this as a passive-aggressive attempt to imply that she's been corrupted because of it (also "not progressive enough"). Hillary defended herself by saying that she's remained true to her positions and the money had no influence.

I'm not sure if that did her any favors, Sanders was able to just stick to his anti-Wall Street rhetoric which probably went over well with many voters.

- I tuned in during the middle of some argument about healthcare, Hillary basically thinks implementation of single-payer healthcare is a pipedream and not worth the effort of trying to dismantle the current system, we should just focus on reducing costs.

Despite my personal preference on this, I think she's right here, progress could be made towards single-payer but any actual change would be a massive up-hill battle.

- They slightly disagreed on the death penalty, Sanders thinks it's wrong for the government to execute people in any case, Hillary thinks it should be reserved for the worst cases.

The rest I either didn't catch or barely paid attention to. I know they spent a fair amount of time on foreign policy. On the plus side, I think the two-person debate format was a breath of fresh air.

I hadn't realized this either. Good to know.

that's actually not just a "slight disagreement" on the death penalty. it's a complete disagreement.

I don't think you can call it a complete disagreement when there are hypothetically crater degrees of disagreement possible. For example, if Clinton agreed with the death penalty for driving 10 miles over the speed limit. That would be more of an Extreme degree of disagreement then the degree where they are currently

Death Penalty?

Bernie Sanders: no.

Billary: Yes, like it is now.

Worst cases? Well since some states have no death penalty now, and that's the trend, she's okay with actually expanding it.

Agree.

Either you believe the state has the right to execute someone or you don't. No matter how many circumstances you think need to be met, you're still saying they have the right unless you say they absolutely do not have the right.

No degrees, just yes or no.

Poor wording on my part. I meant to say that they basically said what they wanted and moved on without much discussion.

They weren't talking about Republicans.

Insults are what gained him popularity in the first place. His support from the far right xenophobes was never stronger than when he was trashing Mexicans and Muslims.

And BTW, not to start a huge argument with you over it, but in NO WAYS AT ALL was he anything the country needed.

Not going to start a huge arguement with you over it thumb just simply going to disagree :) have a good evening

Ron Paul was asked if anybody running was for free markets now that his son is out.

“On occasion, Bernie comes up with libertarian views when he talks about taking away the cronyism on Wall Street, so in essence he’s right, and occasionally he voted against war,” the former Texas congressman said when asked if there was a candidate who was truly for the free market.

This is just awesome - the hero of the far left is a no good, shiftless, dirty hippie bum who has never had a real job and has $65k in credit card debt. Some of the highlights:

- didn't hold a steady job and earn a regular paycheck until he was 40 despite having a college degree from the University of Chicago
- first wife left him because he moved her into a maple sugar shack with a dirt floor with no intention to improve his own circumstances
- had a child out of wedlock that he couldn't support financially (mostly likely a deadbeat dad, too) - no wonder he's pro murder of babies
- couldn't even swing a hammer to support himself - too lazy to do real work, but why should he have to, there are rich people in America who can support him!
- friends say he was always poor - called him a slob who frequently had his electricity turned off (those evil profit hungry bastard utilities not given free power to deadbeats!)
- so lazy and unaccomplished, he couldn't get himself elected to state office as a socialist in the "People's Republic of Vermont"

And maybe the best part - this guy is so bad with his personal finances that he has carried b/w $25k-$65k in credit card debt his entire time in the Senate. And some of you here want him to reform our economy! Are you serious? Hey Turd, how many times have you bagged on Rubio for declaring bankruptcy? Can't be as bad as your guy - that clown carries $65k in debt at 18%+ per year.

If you read this editorial and vote for this assclown, you're a fool and you deserve what we will all get...

Really?! He hasn't even been bought to the tune of $65k?

wow, DETECTIVE DIPSHIT has this all figured out. Sanders has been elected, repeatedly, Mayor, congressman, and then senator, ALL as an independent, without the backing of either major party, and even now, without taking super PAC money like every other sleazebag candidate, and consistently has enjoyed approval ratings of 70%+ from his constituents, the highest of any sitting senator, yet it's only NOW that someone has figured all this out about him? he's been winning elections for decades in Vermont, against party-backed opponents, but this all just didn't come
out... or maybe because it's all trumped up bullshit.

weak shit, from the weakest poster on this board.

even tLiar could muster better than this (when he wasn't lying and welching).

stfu and gtfo

lol...You know a politician is getting traction when GOP rags start shitting on them in op-eds with anonymous quotes.

I also read in similarly reliable publications this week that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were getting a divorce and the Pope has 3 illegitimate children in Brazil.
