Hoke B10 Coach of the year!!!!!!

Wow it's his 3rd coach of the year award in 4 years in 3 different conferences.

Woooohoooooo! Congrats, Brady! You totally deserve it!

Had to check first to make sure it wasn't Monster who posted this! :)

Congratulations Brady!!

Wow he won coach of the year for doing exactly what RichRod would've done in the same circumstances?

Maybe he can send half the trophy to Arizona or at least a gift basket.

biggunsbob[/color]]Congrats to Brady... Fantastic news..

Absolutely. I know he's too modest to pat himself (or the staff) on the back, but they deserve it.

Two weeks ago I said Dantonio would win it if they didn't blow a game, but I honestly didn't think Michigan would beat both Nebraska and OSU.

Great news!

You didn't think we would beat both Nebraska and OSU?

First of all, it's OHIO*, and second of all, you are not a very good fan. All REAL Michigan fans thought we would beat both of those chumps.

Especially the wal-mart variety that equates the B1G-ACC Commissioners Cup with the Little Brown Jug, huh.

My bad on the Ohio* though...

By the way it is the third time in the lat four years a conference has named Hoke the coach of the year..

For the third time in the last four years, Brady Hoke has been named the Coach Of The Year by his conference.

This time, Hoke, the first-year Michigan coach, earned the inaugural Hayes-Schembechler Award, given to the Big Ten's best coach. Hoke led the Wolverines through a coaching transition and won 10 games, giving them a chance at a BCS bowl berth.

In 2010, Hoke won the Mountain West Coach Of The Year award. In Hoke's second year there, the Aztecs went 9-4 and reached their first bowl since 1998, beating Navy in the Poinsettia Bowl.

And in 2008, Hoke's Ball State team went 12-0 in the regular season and to the brink of an at-large BCS bid, before losing the MAC Championship game. Hoke was awarded MAC Coach Of The Year honors.

Hoke was more than deserving of the award. Under his watch, Michigan won six conference games, the same number it had won in the last three years combined.

Hoke also became the first Michigan coach to win double-digit games in his first season since Fielding H. Yost did it in 1901.

Two other Michigan coaches have won Big Ten Coach Of The Year awards. Bo Schembechler earned it on six different occasions, and Gary Moeller won it twice.

not to split hairs here, but you read too much into my statement. I was merely saying the WAY IN WHICH the Brown Jug remained with the previous winner in the event of a tie was SIMILAR to the ACC/B1G trophy. But in terms of greatness... BROWN JUG >>>> ACC/B1G trophy. There.

Jesus Tapdancing...

I'm not sure RichRod wouldn't still have been having defenders trying to tackle with their backs facing the ballcarrier.

Methinks he was being sarcastic
