How the Mueller Investigation Could Play Out for Trump

Yesterday night on PBS, I was surprised to see they gave airtime to Chris Christie to just sit their and bag on Jared Kushner and his family generally. I only watched a couple minutes of it, but daaaaaamn.

You could be a little more thorough in substantiating your media references. Look at tigermud, he links to everything.

The judge isn't happy about this. Thinking about putting a gag order on him.

No shit Sherlock that’s what they were discussing in the court session Friday and this interview was from AFTER that session.

I’d be surprised if he isn’t gagged that’s the primary goal anyway to shut him up, after that they’ll go after gay frog and shut his ass down next, after that the deep state will go after trump and there won’t be anyone large left to question the narrative, if the prime fox lineup doesn’t go along they’ll be banned from everything and fired...fast forward few years after that when the crazy hard lefty party controls both houses and the WH the velvet gloves come off, iron fist and it’s equally assured misery for 99.9%

Yucky yuck yuck that’s just stupid and crazy that’ll never happen mud you freakin wack job!

This is more of the direction I thought the Mueller investigation would end up. More than collusion.

I stopped reading at Glenn Simpson, the cofounder of Fusion GPS as everybody knows that was all made up BS bought and paid for by the DNC

Fusion GPS is best known for hiring the former MI6 officer Christopher Steele to produce the dossier most infamously alleging that Trump hired prostitutes to "perform a 'golden showers' (urination) show in front of him" during a visit to the Moscow Ritz-Carlton in 2013.

How Glenn Simpson isn't the one under investigation is beyond me, the only thing I can figure is that they must all have something on trumps DOJ guys cuz they don't do jack shit and just let em all get away with it.

He didn't get to make up the subpoena. And there's some hearsay out there alleging Eric Trump claimed golf club funding came from Russia.

Eric denies it, but it would be a weird thing for a golf reporter to make up out of the blue.

If it's a lie, this is a pretty good way to tell it.

Dodson said he never intended for that 2013 comment by Eric Trump to blow out as much as it has since Dodson?s recent radio show appearance. ?I lead a very quiet life,? Dodson said. ?I really regret this.?
But, he added, ?I stand by what I said.?

I’ll add it to the list of things that turn out not to be accurate just like most things the never trump movement conjures up, I will say this though if the trump justice department doesn’t start fighting back this is a lost cause they will succeed in removing him from office..I don’t see that as a good thing

It's not his Justice Department and it isn't suppose to fight back. It is supposed to serve justice to people that break the law.

Exzactly and if that’s what it was interested in doing it would demand investigation to the same rigor into the other side of the supposed collusion that occurred within the dnc an the illegal spying on the trump campaign.the purgy by clapper and others .but it’s not.it just ignors it all, double standards galore. Equal justice under the law not what we are getting with this, it’s way too one sided

Let’s see if anyone is held to account for this moot recent example, for example

I won’t hold my breath

The lawyer representing political operative Roger Stone claims metadata contained in his indictment proves CNN received an FBI tip ahead of his arrest.

In particular, according to Stone’s attorney Grant Smith, one day prior to Stone’s arrest CNN had obtained the original copy of the indictment before it was submitted to PACER, a database allowing public access to electronic copies of court records.

Explaining how the metadata exposes CNN, Smith writes, “It is unknown how CNN had obtained a copy of a sealed indictment without a PACER filing header. Additionally, the metadata of the document sent to me, also attached, indicates that the author was ‘AAW’ and that it was created and modified on 1/23/19 at 11:04 pm using Acrobat PDF Maker for Word, a full day before it was filed with the Court under seal.”
AAW stands for Andrew Weissmann, a senior deputy to special counsel Mueller in the Russian collusion investigation.

In a letter to South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, Smith notes, “Regarding the Letters sent by your Offices to FBI Director Wray following the arrest of Roger Stone, Mr. Stone has directed me to provide the detailed chronology of his arrest outlined below.”

“It should be noted that CNN apparently received a copy of Mr. Stone’s Indictment prior to its filing and its unsealing. This is substantiated by the metadata contained within the copy of the Indictment that was sent to me by a reporter contemporaneous with Mr. Stone’s arrest. Curiously, the copy sent to me did not contain the PACER filing notations in its header. It would be of great public interest to understand how that occurred.”

the cops have always tipped off the press about high profile arrests when they want credit & publicity for themselves, or want to publicly embarrass the person being arrested. this is all very common, if unfortunate for the idea of "innocent until proven guilty." It's so common it has a name: the perp walk.

It is unusual for the cops to do that to a white guy who plays for team GOP.

is that what's upsetting you in this case?

Don't worry. There's an entire Republican party with a mountain of money and lawyers to apply pressure to this if there is anything there.

The irony was not lost on me, thanks for the chuckle.

Now the inaugural committee is subpoenaed. But this is out of New York, not DC.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/federal-prosecutors-subpoena-trump-inaugural-committee/

Curious if that's why Trump was so adamant that his inauguration crowds were so big. He needed justification as to why they claimed 100+ million in expenditures related to that day.

"Subpoena to Trump inaugural committee shows prosecutors probing an array of potential crimes: conspiracy against US, mail/wire fraud, money laundering, disclosure violations & violations of laws prohibiting contributions by foreign nations & straw donors."

Any other presidency would be toast without even muttering the words 'Russia' or 'collusion'.
