Hugo Chavez Dies

while i had no issue with the wars, the Mission Accomplished banner pissed me off. the mission was to kill OBL, and as much as i am not an Obama fan, he is the one deserving of that banner.

for me, taking out iraq, a known sponsor of terror, gave our forces a second front into which we could take out the iranian regime, another known terror sponsor, and syria, yet another known sponsor of terror.

either you take on terror everywhere or dont declare war on terror. if u r not prepared or willing to do that, then solely focus on taking out OBL and the regime who supported him, the taliban.

bush definitely screwed all that up. there was no need to even mention WMD, if we are fighting terrorists and the nations who sponsor terror, well then there is zero need to bring up WMDs.

This is kind of off the deep end.

Saudi Arabia was found to have citizens that funneled money to terrorists, why don't we attack then as a sponsor of terrorism? Or Qatar or UAE, etc. Oh that's right, because they play kiss ass with us over OIL.

Saying Saddam Hussein was a brutal and oppressive dictator is one thing, it's another to say the FOX/Bush party line of "they were sponsors of terrorism" while offering up not a single scrap of evidence. I'm surprised you didn't say "axis of evil".

And what the hell, why don't we just invade every single sovereign nation on earth that we decide to call "sponsors of terrorism" because after all, they don't love Jesus or eat bacon, so lets forget about laws or anything and just shoot first and sort it out after we install a puppet government.

Just make sure the fuckin' dictators have the nanochips installed this time before we put them in power, because in the past, without the nonochips, some of that shit has blown up in our faces.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure that Jesus didn't eat bacon.

Absolutely agree tinsel...this is why I'm pushing so hard to get those chips created sooner as opposed to later...then we just nerd the CIA to get an operative to implant the chip and we are good to go.

And Jesus most certainly did not eat bacon, but if he had he would have liked it I bet.

say... I've been looking to sell this on the cheap for a while...

what do you say we cut a deal?

I can dig up more if necessary, not very difficult to prove:

What type of terrorist groups did Iraq support under Saddam Hussein?s regime?
Primarily groups that could hurt Saddam?s regional foes. Saddam has aided the Iranian dissident group Mujahadeen-e-Khalq and the Kurdistan Workers? Party (known by its Turkish initials, PKK), a separatist group fighting the Turkish government. Moreover, Iraq has hosted several Palestinian splinter groups that oppose peace with Israel , including the mercenary Abu Nidal Organization, whose leader, Abu Nidal, was found dead in Baghdad in August 2002. Iraq has also supported the Islamist Hamas movement and reportedly channeled money to the families of Palestinian suicide bombers. A secular dictator, however, Saddam tended to support secular terrorist groups rather than Islamist ones such as al-Qaeda, experts say.

Oh my God, Jesus would have loved the turkey club at Factor's Famous Deli on Pico!

Speaking of Pico Boulevard, about 10 years ago, as I was doing my teacher training to teach at LAUSD, we all went to the Simon Wiesenthal Museum of Tolerance.

So after going through the museum, we naturally had to do a workshop regarding our observations.

So we got paired off, and I got happened to be paired off with this Orthodox Jewish guy, who I just felt took a dislike to me because I look pretty goy - well, I am pretty goy - and we had just done the Simon Wiesenthal thing, and the whole bit.

So there was this one exercise, where we were supposed to come up with a one word description of our partner, and his description of me was "American..."

And I didn't feel it was meant to be complimentary, and besides that; he was probably as "American" as I am.

Anyway, throughout the exercises, we became a little bit more friendly...

...although I never got to the point that I felt the obligation, nor did I end up telling him, that I have mizuzzah on my door.

Yeah, unless you convert to their version of orthodoxy (seph, azky, hass, etc) then you aren't really a Jew so telling him you have a mizzuzah would have likely resulted in an uncomfortable moment at best. Is it at the correct height, when did you last replace the scroll, from where did you buy the scroll, etc. That is my issue with most orthodox or extremist types, their inability to be accepting of anything not 100% like them. Even when it is a group more extreme than theirs they will only find fault.

However, in fairness, there are many who are open-minded. My wife's friend and her husband told their rabbi it was none of his business and came to our wedding despite the objections. That is what we need from all of the orthodox, an ability to think for themselves and I think there is a growing movement in the orthodox community toward that end even though others are burying themselves deeper into torah so as to not be tainted by open-mindedness.

It is unfortunate they cannot all be more accepting.

Yeah, unless you convert to their version of orthodoxy (seph, azky, hass, etc) then you aren't really a Jew so...

Yeah, that's what my wife said; and I'm not Jewish anyway; I'm married to a Jewish woman, or so she claims to be, and we had a wedding with a canopy and I wore a yamaka, and we had the hallah thing after the wedding, and we were married by a Rabbi, so they can argue with my wife as to whether she's really Jewish, or not...

I'm gonna go put my nanobot on, and listen to smooth jazz....

Maybe a few great classic Michigan football victories.

Mazeltov.

if you re-program it to play the score of "Fiddler on the Roof" I think they would be more accepting of you. (assuming that's what you are looking for.)

Na, from everything I have witnessed the Messiah could return and they would not accept him due to him not following their specific ideology. The rabbis of old distorted things too much, similar to how Rome distorted Christianity in the early days.

It is unfortunate that spirituality always seems to take a back seat to religion.
