... according to Pat Robertson.

Link!

Going to hell for sure because of countless hours of this:

not to mention Vice City, or San Andreas. Also... I guess this counts too, because where do you draw the line?

I've been a murderer since the early 80's. Insane. 30 years of depravity and wanton destruction of life.

When I clicked on the link I got a pop up to The 40 Hottest Women in Sports.

Danica Patrick was #1.

Well what about when I was a kid and used to play army or cops and robbers and shot all my friends dead with my spring loaded rifle and my cap gun colt .45?

Or is that not considered murder?

Can't imagine that games like this are intrinsically good for the soul.

Ive played years worth of call of duty....havent killed anyone. Pat robertson is an idiot if he thinks fucking a hooker and then shooting her in the head in a video game means you will do it in real life.

Call of Duty is different than a game like GFA. And he not saying that there will be transference. Personally, I wonder what benefit there is in playing a "mayhem" kind of video game like GFA and its various iterations.

Lol.

I personally don't play games like GTA because they're too violent. But the ones who do, and the few who commit crimes and say it was because of GTA - would be committing crimes anyway, game or not.

Btw, I also got the pop up of 40 hottest women in sports.

Theres people in congress that fuck hookers and kill them in real life.....Pat should write articles about them.

Is chicken soup good for the soul? I saw a book that claimed it was.

I don't know what it did to my soul, but the week following my purchase of GTA:Vice City was the most entertained I've ever been for a week in my entire life.

come home from work, take dog out for a walk, pour myself a drink, and sit down and climb my way up the criminal ranks of Vice City.

highlights were killing the reigning coke baron and taking over his mansion. also, when I finally got the attack chopper... flying over the city blowing up criminals with a cannon while listening to Michael Jackson's "Wanna Be Startin' Something"... that was just the shit.

There's nothing wrong with video games, but country music, that shit will make you want to jump a railing and fight every n...... here.

My favorite was GTA 3, I would get the sniper rifle and go to the high rise that was under construction by the Yakuza, pick off people until I got enough wanted stars for the helicopters to come, then I'd blow them out of the sky with a bazooka. Shortly after the national guard types would come in the Bradly tanks, Id wait till one was cornered, open the door and fling the soldier inside out....then run amok around town in my indestructible death machine. Even if you just tapped another car, they would instantly explode. So I would just murder the whole town till I got bored, drive the tank to my garage, park and save game, then when I came out, no wanted stars, and I still had a tank.

Pat Robertson would probably think I'm the anti-christ.

GTA:III was a close second. I remember hearing the rumors about it, and wanted to get it. for about a month, everywhere I went was sold out.
finally found it at one of those stores in the mall.

I used to like running up on people, punching them, then seeing their reaction. if I got punched back, out came the baseball bat.

less violently... I also liked looking for the "easter eggs" they included with the game... small weird features in the landscape that you could find. it was cool in San Andreas they gave you a camera to take pictures of stuff and save it.

I can't enjoy a game like GTA. I can shoot zombies all day and really like the Batman games even though they're plenty violent, but somebody handed me a controller for some GTA game once and within 5 minutes there was some guy laying on the ground pleading for his life and I was supposed to shoot him and I just didn't find it enjoyable at all.

uh, not sure what you were playing, but I don't remember anyone ever pleading for their life on the ground and shooting them in any of those games.
