I am dumber now.

I'd say 6th best player in the conference is HIGH for Denard Robinson. Do Michigan fans truly not realize he is NOT a very good QB??

Is he the best "playmaker" in the Big Ten? Yes. But that doesn't always translate into being the best player. He single handedly lost the MSU game last year for Michigan. He is a great talent, no doubt. But he is not close to being the best overall player in the conference.

Which 10 players are better, since you don't think that DR merits a even top-ten consideration?

I guess someone should tell the idiots who think he's a Top 5 pre-season Heisman Candidate. Granted the pre-season Hypeman Award list is stupid, but it's a consensus of opinion that would seem to disagree with your assessment of BigTen talent.

LOL....you think the Heisman goes to the best football player each year??? Thats funny. I thought it was common football knowledge that very RARELY does that award actually go to college football's best player. For fuck's sake Chris Weinke and Danny Wuerffel won a Heisman.

My bad.

I'll let David Pollack answer it best...... "It's August, so I guess we can talk about Denard Robinson as a Heisman candidate, because once October comes he won't be in the conversation."

Enjoy the Heisman talk now. It comes to an end Saturday.

In NO paticular order.....

1. Johnny Adams, CB - MSU
2. William Gholston, DE - MSU
3. Rex Burkhead, RB - Neb.
4. Monte Ball, RB - Wis.
5. John Simon, DE - THE Ohio St.
6. Ricky Wagner, OT - Wis.
7. Ricardo Allen, DB - Purdue
8. Taylor Lewan, OL - Michigan
9. Denicos Allen, LB - MSU
10. Mike Taylor, LB - Wis.

There are more....I'd put Denard around 15-20th.

I saw that of course. How do you go from one guy mentioning it to "Enjoy the Heisman talk"?

I didn't mention the Heisman once. Simply responding to someone who brought up Heisman talk from ESPN "experts" as a counterpoint to my argument. So, if you want to take it from there go ahead.

Otherwise.....shhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Jesus, asshole -- you need that Hawaii trip sooner than October!

I fucking said the pre-season Hypeman Top 5 is a COMPLETE joke yet you can't name these other, allegedly "better" Top 10 BigTen players to answer byco? [edit: without first reasearching the Conference]

You're just trolling to be an ass.

Is Cousins a better BigTen "QB" last year than Denard this year...? Maybe. But any real football fan there in Lansing would die to have Shoelace be the team's QB this year and it's hardly relevant to quote Pollack or any other douche bag on that network to refute the argument that ....The Top 5 pre-season list created by same said network of douche bags is crap!

I bet you can find two douche bags on NFL Live who argue as vehemently about the obvious Top 5 pre-season candidates for MVP.

"Simply" is right. If the guy who actually gets the Heisman (at the end of the season) isn't the best player, as you say, and Denard won't be in the running after playing Bama, as you say, then you really haven't made any point about how good Denard is at all. You've defeated your own argument.

Sporting news likes DR @ #10...in the nation.

Who asked me how good he was??

All I said was, in my opinion, he is not top 6 in the conference.

Geez U of M fans get their collective granny panties in a wad if you speak ill of "shoelace".

You guys are funny!!!

You're right, he's not Top 6 in the Conference --

Top Players

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1155428-the-100-best-college-football-players-of-2012/page/96

According to BleacherReport:

Johnny Adams #91 ...
Denicos Allen #84 ...
Braxton Miller #79 (fails to make your list) ...
Taylor Lewan #74 (ahead of both your Spartycakes) ...
John Simon of Ohio* at # 67 ...
GholstonThug #47 ...
Buggeater Burkhead #31 ...*

AND coming in at #6 in THE NATION,

THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN'S Denard "Shoelace" Robinson

now I'm not saying anyone contributing to Bleacher Report has eyebrows like David Pollack, but they know a hell of a lot more about college football than you do.

.... By the way, Montee Ball is #2 with Matt Barkley ranked #1 ... Two of the other "Top 5 pre-season Hypeman Candidates"

I guess it seems your opinion is just basic ...what do the hip-hoppers say these days...?

Hatin'

Endless entertainment for a lifetime because of Spartan Stupidity

OH NO!!! My OPINION doesn't match what Bleacher Report says. Holy hell, where is the nearest bridge and my jumpin shoes???

LOL!!!

Let's see how #6 IN THE NATION looks Saturday??

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-robinson-wont-have-spectacular-senior-season

The above article is from..........wait for it........BLEACHER REPORT.......so it MUST be true!!!!

Why argue with Sparty? An alum tried arguing with me that Tom Gholston destroyed Lewan last year.. I then showed him every snap. Then the conversation turned to Hokes weight...

Ever thus to Sparty. Two good seasons in the past 30 years will do that to a fan base..

Yeah I had the same fight a week ago on facebook with a Sparty alum who said Gholston was gonna own Michigan again. I posted the video and it changed to 4 wins in a row and how Denard cant pass.

It's okay boogers, if your Apple Vacations package deal to Hawaii falls through and you actually make it to A2 for the game, I'll still buy you that beer.

Was that supposed to be an insult?? Apple Vacations?? Is that a travel site?

Is that what you have to resort to? Insults about a vacation we've planned.

Classy.

You can't stick to the topic because you have nothing to contribute. Nothing original anyway. If I want Bleacher Reports' opinion of DR.....I know where to find it. Thanks for the link though.

You stick to your thinly veiled insults....because you have about as much football knowledge to contribute to this conversation as Mike Hart does to "how to be an NFL running back" discussion.
