And goes away from cold hard facts sometimes. Smyly shouldve stayed in the game or went to Below at the beginning of the inning. But Putkenton prob made the cigarette run before the game, so he got the ball. smh.

Few disagree.

I'd be happy if they fired him tonight.. This team should be 10 games up right now.

This team should be 10 games up right now.....but it's not because the manager sucks....the players suck!

Leyland sucks balls, dude,,,get over it for fuck sakes. Sure, the players are underachieving but our manager is a clownshow.

Like I said in the other thread....guys like you blame the teacher because your dumb ass kid gets a D in math. Leyland is not the best manager...he is average. This team is not as good as we thought. Middle of the pack in batting and 23rd in ERA. This while playing in a division where every team has a negative run differential. This team is not built well. They are not athletic and have a shitty bull pen.

Guys like me? You're clueless, buddy. And the math and baseball comparisons have no fn merit in this conversation. It's 2 completely different scenarios.

And Leyland is not average anymore. The game has surpassed him and for some fn reason, he doesn't see it. His decisions are brutal and his loyalty hurts this team. When is enough for Raburn? When he's under .100 BA?

OK...guys like you blame the coach because your kid is 2nd string on the basketball team when your kid acutally sucks. Is there a little blame on Leyland...of course...he is the manager. There is blame on DD for putting this shitty roster together...but most of the blame goes on the players that aren't performing. I just get tired of hearing most of the posters blame Leyland after every loss when most of the players aren't doing thier jobs.

Leyland goes on a miracle run every few years but besides that he is a .500 manager with some talented teams..

The same could be said of a great majority of managers.

Managers don't have that much of an impact.

All great managers are great because they were placed in great situations.
