I have missed literally hundreds of holidays and special events over the years, due to working the afternoon/graveyard/weekend shifts during most of my working life, and many happened when there were no such things as a DVR or even a VHS recorder.

But I still feel for any Tigers fans who will have obligations causing them to miss watching tonight's final game of the series live, nonetheless, as I have all too often BTDT.
