Fuck Houston! Bring on Alabama or OK State!

I don't want to get a cheap BCS win by playing a small program like Houston. Bring on one of the big boys so we can actually earn the win. If we can't beat a team like Alabama, Ok State, Vatech, Stanford, or Arkansas we don't deserve to win a BCS game. Why should Wisconsin or Sparty have to play Oregon and we (who didn't make the chmpshp game) get an easy matchup?

Aweeeeee. We should take a poll. I'd prefer a BCS but I'm not there its a guarantee we'd play Houston, is there?

Poll added.

Most experts have said we'd probably play Houston if we get a BCS bowl. There's also no guarantee that we'd destroy them, but honestly they've played nobody. I hope they lose this weekend and we get one of the other guys. Honestly, I think Vatech would be an interesting matchup.

I dont want to play houstan because I wouldnt be excited about the game, i know nothing about houstan, ive never heard of them before the talk of facing them in a bowl. I would want a chance to upset one of the big boys as well.

anyone remember the Georgia - Hawaii Sugar Bowl from a few years ago? Yeah, I don't want to see that again. It was an absolute embarrassment.

I don't want to play houston. Its a lose, lose. If we win, nobody really cares. If we lose, we lose to a small school. Only way we would win is if we won like 49-10.

Also would rather not play bama. We just aren't on their level. Richardson would embarrass us. No problem with va tech, stanford, arkansas.

I just want a bowl win and continue all the positive momentum we have had the past few months.

Agreed, I want to play a big team.

I just hope we are prepared, because getting blown out in a BCS game would not be the way I'd want to end such a magical season.

I don't think VaTech is a possibility if they win the ACC. I think the ACC champ is locked into the ORange Bowl, but I could be wrong

I'd want to play WVU, that would be great. A guaranteed win and then embarrassing that stupid fan base in a BCS bowl.

Said it in another thread, playing Houston in a Bowl after having the season we've had as fans, a program and team would be a kick in the balls, insulting and just plain sucky.

Let Houston play Boise St or Okie State or some other regional match-up.

And No Outback Bowl!! BCS at Large vs Stanford is my personal preference for many reasons.

As lame as it sounds I'll take Houston if it means we get the win...at this stage in the "rebuilding process" a BCS win would mean everything regardless of who it's against. In a year or so I would change my tune. For now I want whoever UM will beat...if that means it's Houston so be it. A BCS loss against a good team (especially a blowout) does little or nothing for this team where a 10 win season and BCS win means the world. Alabama would embarrass UM and make the season seem like a fraud. (which maybe it is)

However I should add that the risk of losing to Houston is the bad part..if they lose to Houston in the bowl it looks terrible. I wonder how good Houston really is? I would imagine UM's offense would have no problem, but the spread attack with Keenum at the helm could carve something Michigan up crucially. Interesting.

It's usually Sunday night following all the Conf Title games and before Sunday Night Football..

I love this team, and I wouldn't want to see them in a bowl against an opponent that they are just not ready for, like Alabama. It would be like putting an up-and-coming prize fighter in the ring with the champion of the world and watching him get beat up. Not because he is not a good fighter, just because he is not ready for that level of competition yet. Doing that to this team would be a shame. Now, next fall yeah let's see how the team does against Alabama. Houston is a passing team that has put up a lot of points on its opponents. Keenum (Houston's QB) would hit the receivers that Miller missed. It would not be an easy game and the D line would have to step up to keep the pressure on Keenum, and the D secondary would have to cover better than it did against ohio. Otherwise Keenum would have a field day. But I also think that Michigan's O would put up a lot of points against Houston's largely untested D. Might turn out to be a shootout, with the team that has the ball last scoring the last TD for a win, or even going into overtime. Michigan has been in that kind of game before and Houston has not, so I would give the edge to Michigan.
