Lol. Leyland is highly overrated. Worst in baseball? Not even close. He's average.. so yes, we could do better. This TEAM is on fire right now. Leyland is managing well and the players are playing well.

I'm almost of a mind that the manager doesn't matter much. I do put a little weight on Pythagorean. I know at the break we were about 4 games behind where we should have been, last year I think we were about a game off and in 2011 we were 6 games better than we should have been. That being said even though he annoys me with some of his moves, bullpen, some of his lineups, I still believe he is one of the best managers in baseball. It seems the other managers in the AL think so too. I believe if this technology was available when Sparky was around the same people would bitch about him

Like I said, I don't think Leyland is bad. I don't see how he is the best, though. Most of his decisions are very questionable, and he's always struggled with managing a bullpen. Also relies too heavily on bench guys. His career win-loss record isn't all that great. In neither WS appearance have the Tigers been prepared. I base all this on my opinion of him as an average manager.
