Probably right...

Doesn't mean it's not time though.

why ? he played excellent this past year...and Isay that being someone who has wanted him gone for 2 years.

if the Old Boy can squeeze another 16 games out then so be it.

CONTINUITY...lol

Yeah, and I've been one of the FEW supporters of Backus dating back to like '06 on the old forum. For the reason you just said - continuity. heh

But he got destroyed a bunch more this year than he did last year or the year before.

How many sacks would he have given up this year had Matt not been so quick to get rid of the ball.

Jared Allen almost single handedly beat us in Minneapolis. Justin Smith killed him in the 49'ers game.

I dunno.

Backus has played 11 years in a row here. I think he's overall played pretty good. Not great, not shit - average to slightly above average.

You're probably right, he'll be the Day 1 Starter. But they need a solution who's name isn't Jason Fox. That boy looks lost out there

Janoris Jenkins - DB - Player

According to CBS Sports draft analyst Dane Brugler, North Alabama CB Janoris Jenkins "put to rest any debate" about this year's top senior cornerback with his performance in Mobile.
Brugler praised Jenkins' fluidity and "very light feet," the latter of which is a trait cited by Deion Sanders as integral to cornerback success. Per Brugler, Jenkins displayed "swivel hips," closing burst, and a physical nature. Jenkins' off-field issues (three marijuana-related incidents) may be the only stumbling block toward a first-round grade from NFL teams. Wrote Brugler, "based on pure talent and football ability, Jenkins is a top-10 prospect."

A lot of people think Adams will be gone way before we pick.... Cleveland has already said if he's there, they will take him. That said i hope this kid falls to us.... Looks solid...

If he's there? Well, the Colts aren't taking him. Who knows what the Vikings do but i don't see them passing on a CB or WR for a LT right now. The Rams...maybe, but not if Blackmon is there. And i think Cleveland goes Griffin if he's there. Long way after that..lol. Nobody knows but the kid is a beast....

You're right, bro....sorry. Would be some nice bookends at the Tackle spots with Thomas and Adams right there. Especially if they go Griffin, he would be nice and protected.

Yeah there is no WAY they would take him with their first pick... but if they did get Griffin and Adams..... That would be a solid 1st round....

Scott Wright has Adams falling right into our hands.....I kind of agree with him a bit Bronws draft RG III you better get him a WR who can go get it.

http://www.draftcountdown.com/sub/Mock-Draft-B.php

That is an older mock though posted before the Senior Bowl, notice he has SF losing the Super Bowl. I'm still crossing my fingers he's still be there but his stock has certainly gone up and may again after the combine.
