Jose Reyes?

The Reds are supposed to be thinking of trading for some pitching for bats, would you trade Turner,Porcello or Scherzer for Phillips? I wouldn't, he is too old IMO for any of them and they want pitchers ready to step into their rotation now.

No To much pitching..

If Reyes didn't have injury issues I would go after him in a heartbeat.. He would be in upgrade in 2 spots, at SS and at leadoff.. BUt I'm not sure he's worth 20 million for the amount of games he's played...

biggunsbob[/color]]For the last time this guy is injury prone. Here are his games played the last three years which averages 97 games a year over that stretch. You cannot spend 20 million a year on a guy that cannot play 100 games a year..

2009 33 games.
2010 133 games.
2011 126 games

agreed, Reyes is a great player that would fit perfectly, but you can not wrap up $20 million on a guy that can not stay healthy. Plus, most of his production is due to base stealing. That goes with age. His injuries will increase with age. As long as he is stealing bases he will get injured. If he doesn't steal bases then he isn't worth the money.

I would rather invest in a player that relies on his hitting ability, or another great pitcher. Reyes for $10 million, deal. Reyes for $18+ million is too risky IMO.
