Kind of surreal looking at bowl projections

Michigan will win on Saturday.

I hope you're right. I can't even imagine the joy that would come along with that - since it's been so long.

Michigan must win on Saturday. The Team has to have the mindset that this is a must win and play with the same level of urgency and enthusiasm as they brought to the Nebraska game, if not more so. This is The Game. This is a must win for Michigan.

I would be extremely disappointed if we lost this game. This is the first time in a long time that we've actually been favored in the game, it's at home and we need it to propel us to a BCS game. There's a lot riding on this game. The problem is that most people now just have this "I'll believe it when I see it" mentality when it comes to this game since we just haven't won in it 8 years.

wait... LSU vs. Alabama in the Title Game?

I thought rematches were "unfair" and "unsportsmanlike" and shouldn't happen? Or at least that's what all the SEC trash claimed in 2006...

Rooting for LSU and Alabama to keep winning so Michigan can get this slot.

We all were also told that you can't be in the National Championship if you don't win your conference. As well as "you had your shot against Ohio State and you lost."

And if Alabama and Arkansas were 2-loss teams, the story would be "well, this is the SEC so a 2-loss team is like being undefeated in any other conference"

Yeah, just saw some bullshit that said something like LSU, Alabama, and Arkansas would win any other conference, they just happen to be in the same conference...what?!!?

I guess its possible, but it seems like quite a stretch to say that all 3 are that good.

BCS bowl sounds ****ing awesome. AWESOME. would love to see the houston matchup

I don't think I would tune in to watch an LSU-Alabama rematch. I watched the first game. It was okay... tough defensive struggle.

Stanford - Ok St would be okay.
Oregon - Wisconsin... always good to see a PAC-10/BIG Rose Bowl.

Michigan - Houston? Meh. I'd rather play a real team. Sagarin has their SOS at like 120th or something. Would be a road paving operation, not a football game.

You wouldnt watch the National Championship?

I don't need to listen to a bunch of yahoos blather on and on about how great the SEC is for 3 hours. so if it's LSU-Alabama... no.

Nope, we get enough of that from Gary Danielson and Verne Lundquist. According to some, they have multiple orgasms during their broadcasts.

They allowed to take UH over the Big East winner?

Yup, since no Big East team is ranked in the BCS top 14, their spot can be given to another team. Right now, no Big Least team is even in the top 25.

E: I didn't remember it quite right:

3. The champion of Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference, the Mountain West Conference, the Sun Belt Conference, or the Western Athletic Conference will earn an automatic berth in a BCS game if either: A. Such team is ranked in the top 12 of the final BCS Standings, or, B. Such team is ranked in the top 16 of the final BCS Standings and its ranking in the final BCS Standings is higher than that of a champion of a conference that has an annual automatic berth in one of the BCS bowls.

Wow. How did UConn make it last year then? Were they even top 25 at the end of the regular season?

Well, according to some obscure BCS bylaw, by beating Boston College 'by at least one point,' Noter Dame has guaranteed itself a BCS at large.....

Noter dame sucks
