I'm not sure I like this move. You have a TV broadcaster that is working directly for the GM. I think this will make the broadcasts tilt even further toward the "company line"

I'd rather have a broadcast team more like Jim Price and Dan Dickerson. At least they tell it like it is (compared to the TV broadcasts)

Why wouldn't they?

I'm not so sure it's a good idea to have these old timers being heavily involved (Kaline, Tram, Gibby & Horton). How about hiring some people that have actually had some success in running or assisting in running an organization.

That's another question but honestly I'm not sure what each does.

I would think the Ex-Tigers players in the front office want the best for the team. They each wore the English D with pride, and have given their lives to the game and the Tigers. With that, whether they agree whole heartedly or partially, I have to think if analytics will help them draft, sign, or trade for better players, the group of Kaline, Tram, Willie, and Gibby are all for it.
Tram and Gibby might have more input in the way of winning the others over as they have managed and coached with the Analytics/Sabermetrics boom.
Just my take on the discussion.
