Leading the NFCN

Not lucky, c'mon dude. This entire year has been luck, both good and bad. Very strange year. The only thing that I can count on is that a majority of every game I'll be cursing at my TV.

This exactly. It's been very strange season.

My problem is supposed lions fans chalking lions wins up to luck.

What do you want Lions fans to do then? Unapologetically praise each and every player, coach, and game performance the team is involved with like you do? For every single season since I've seen you on this board?

We've been down this road several times before. Lions need to give us more before we start believing they're for real. They have every opportunity to do just that so we'll see how it goes.

The lions earned their wins. Chalking it up to luck is absolute horse shit. Give them credit and be very hopeful for last 7 games. They are in great position.

12-5 in second half games under caldwell. Finish strong

Sure...fair enough. How about you quit giving them credit when they lose, and chalking up losses to bad luck then? Deal?

on the scoreboard, you are right. Points are all that matter. But yards per game are also an indicator of how good a defense or offense is.

Outside of the unicorn, nobody is calling these guys the Ravens of the late 90's/early '00's. Give these guys credit for stiffening up when they need to... especially with some of the injuries our squad has had to deal with.

I never chalked it up to bad luck. Ref incompetence is a very real thing with very specific examples that i give.

Luck is a general bullshit term

Lions in great shape. Finish strong

Be realistic. Every team is dealing with injuries, none more than the best 2 teams in our division. The only thing exciting about the Lions is Stafford. Without him this team is the Browns. I think Quin is doing a good job though, and I'm excited about the future. But your disgusting optimism always makes me think things are gonna go south.

Lions dealing with most important injuries so far. They are best team in division. Saying gb or min is best is just crazy

Lets talk about luck. Patriots have fumbled thr ball 18 times this season. Cough deflategate cough. Only lost 7

Lions only fumbled twice all year lost 1. Lions protect ball much much better. Lions score poits, move ball and protect the ball well

Lions 8 forced fumbles, recovered only 3. Vikings forced 8 and recovered all 8. Lucky vikings in this case

They are in great shape. We're all happy about that. They need to take advantage of it now. I'm not satisfied with just being in great shape.

The Lions appear to be a mediocre team. They're 5-4 with losses to bad teams, and wins against decent teams. What are we supposed to make of that? With a few plays here and there they could be 3-6 or the other way they could be 7-2. We can argue all day long about "luck" and "ref incompetence". All of those things to me are just "football". You deal with them and accept the results either way.

No more excuses and dismissing poor play. If the Lions are as good as you say they are, then make the playoffs and win a game or two. No reason not to.

There is no reason not too. 4 home games and 3 away. They have the talent to make it happen. They have the protection finally, weapons, qb and ball protection to make it happen. Riddick can give us efficient day every once ina awhile too. Hope washington steps up.

Defense. The talent is there. 14th in ppg playing bend but dont break. Slay and hopefully levy and bostic back. Lions can make 10 wins happen . 9 could still win division or make playoffs too

Good. I agree the path is there. The Lions we all know and have grown up with would fail to live up to it. If they want to change fans perception then do it on the field. You acting like a troll on a message board will not do the trick.

I'll be right there with ya celebrating if they pull it off.

Read that Abdullah making progress as well. If Bostic and Abdullah are both ready to go soon, which one do we activate from the ir? I'd take Abdullah in a heartbeat, I don't even know what Bostic brings, honestly.

Lions history has nothing to do with this. 11-5 2014 under caldwell blows hsitory out of water. I am not a troll. I talk about the truth with specific examples. People just dont like that. I will never stop posting factual information

Bring on thr last 7 games. Lions are 12-5 with caldwell in second half of seasons. That history is more relevant than blowing it under previous regimes

Agree on bringing abdullah back over bostic..dont really know the timetables. Abdullah more serious injury

You ask Lions fans to act "rah rah" all the time and you say history should have nothing to do with it. That's a nice thought, but unfortunately we are human beings and not memoryless robots. History has a way of impacting how you perceive things.

The 2016 version of lions has no history. Each year is different with different circumstances. The talent is there. The wins have been there this year. Lots more potential on offense and defense. Health will help

And i am not asking them to be rah rah. Jist not to be a total douche saying lions wins were luck..clealrly they were earned wins

Really? Matt Stafford hasn't been on this team until this year? Riley Reiff? Golden Tate? These are 53 new players and a whole new coaching staff that have never taken the field before with the Lions, and therefore we have no history to help make our judgments with?

That's news to me.
