LeBron has always seemed to downplay any real rivalry with Lance. And for good reason, it's not like Lance actually ever really changed the outcome of a series.
I agree with the rest that LeBron gave up his easy ride to the finals (easy being relative, it's never actually easy to win the series). LA is the third best team in the West at best, and could very easily be a 6-8 seed (they are gong to take time to gel). Even with Leonard, they aren't as good as GS, and probably still behind Houston if they retain Capela. But it's still miles better than Cleveland, which is basically a sinking ship. The LeBron brand gets a nice visibility boost as his game eventually erodes, too.
