Zetterberg doesn't look the same but I think he played well for the most part. Ericsson has been on my shit list for 5 years. No one picked the Wings to even make it to a game 7.

To be fair to Stamkos the Wings made him look awful. When you key in on a particular player you can make anybody look awful.

I like that Lightning team but on principal I hope they don't win the cup because they didn't deserve the leave the first round.

It just shows again Holland did not push the right buttons at the trade deadline.

Yandle is still playing... We are not...I know you cannot predict injury's but Cole had the neck
issue before and both guy's picked up were freaking old.. I like Zidlicky but he looked slow
this series..

Zidlicky was a bad pickup. I know he brings some offense but offense from d was not their main concern. The main concern was their mistake prone defense. They didn't address that issue and Zidlicky is a bad defensive player.

I use to live near Tampa, they are one of my least favorite teams because their fans are so fickle and talk a lot of shit.

I blame myself Bob, I moved from the couch and sat on the coffee table while I waited for the dogs to come back in. That's when the goal was. Also I did the same thing when Seattle threw the interception in the Super Bowl.

Defense needs an overhaul. The Ericsson's and Smith's of the world just aren't cutting it.

Zetterberg and Datsyuk...they can't be the focal point of the offense anymore. At this point in their careers they need to be more second line type guys. There's too much pressure on them to do everything and its clear they're both losing a step/injury prone. I still go back to that terrible decision to sign Franzen over Hossa long term. We have been regretting that choice ever since (No trips back to the conference finals since 2009). We haven't had that great goal scorer to go with Pav and Z (who are more setup guys than pure goal scorers).

On the positive side...Mrazek looks like the real deal honestly. I think he could be a stud goalie for a real long time. That right there is the hardest piece to find, so hopefully they can focus on the rest of the team now.

I thought this team had a chance to make a deeper run.. Can't choke games away.. I like watching hockey when the Wings are playing.. But I probably won't tune into to any games unless its a game 7 and then just the last 5 minutes of the games.

I hated Smith a couple of years ago but he has improved. I agree with most of what you have said. They need a couple of more pieces but I think they aren't far off.

As long as the hawks, Canadians do not win the Cup the rest probably will not bother me much.. Although I do not want it to came to easy to Yzerman as team president.

Would have loved to have Stralman on the team. Good player.

Need to find a way to make sure Marchenko and Oullet are playing next season. If they could jettison Ericsson and his absurd contract that would be a start. Quincey is just about gone as well.

People ridicule Smith but he has shown enough to stick around IMO.

Since 2008 all this team does is lose important series in heartbreaking fashion.

They outplayed the Penguins the next season and lost the final somehow.

Lost to Chicago after being up 3-1 and largely outplaying the Blackhawks.

Lost to the Lightning up 2-1 and 2-0 in game 4 with five minutes to go, also up 3-2 in the series and outplayed them in game 7 and lost.

Shitty series but still third to the two before it in overall shittyness.

Felt kinda bad fir Kindl on that empty netter. He had a solid game, that puck just took a funny bounce and had eyes for the net.

Kindl and Marchenko were both very good. Solid game all around by the defense.
