Lions cut 3 coaches

idk..... Ive been a season ticket holder since 1988(except one year -2009). I think I might sit this out for a next year if something isnt changed before my renewal is due.

I'm surprised no one mentioned that the quarterbacks coach is still employed. There's no excuse for the dropoff that stafford had in acccuracy and no reason every throw had to be sidearm. They won more games when he used better mechanics, and he says "the only reason you guys are bringing it up is because we're losing games".................

Thats because THE TEAM WON MORE GAMES WHEN HE USED BETTER MECHANICS.

I hope that quarterbacks coach is let go soon.

For them to fire a quarterbacks coach they have to have one first lol. You do realize they haven't had a quarterbacks coach since Schwartz has been here right lol?

No kidding, didn't we have some thread this season saying it might be a good idea to get Staff a QB coach? Lol.

The st teams has gotten worse and worse. Stan Kwan doesn't look so bad anymore. On second thought..

Yep, and what a qb coach he is. From what understood, it is his first positional coaching job hes ever had. Im sure hes taught Stafford alot about the qb position.

makes perfect sense.....lets fire the coach who was in charge of a guy that broke an all time record. brilliant.

And a guy CJ loves.

Smells like Barry Sanders all over again. This organization is fucked beyond belief...wow.

I don't get you guys sometimes. Week after week and post after post I see people complain no one is held accountable, we need to make changes, we lead the league in dropped passes, we can't run the ball for shit and now they fire the receiver and rb coach and that somehow turns into a complaint??? You can't have it both ways. Now it's not the big changes some were hoping for but who cares if they got rid of Jefferson. No other receiver besides CJ did a damn thing for us this year. Even CJ had too many drops this year...which is crazy to say considering he almost ended up with 2k yards. CJ will be great no matter who the receiver coach is. Maybe a new voice can help the rest of them.

I wanted change, but i feel they let the wrong guys go. If anybody, Cunningham (IMO) should have been shown the fn door.

Cunningham, the ST coach and QB coach all should have went.

Well this is Schwartz's last season if he doesn't fix the disaster that was this season. So it's pretty much all on him if he wants to ride with the rest of these coaches. I still think a few more will fall....has to happen. I think Linehan is safe but I think Gunther has a small chance (20%) to be canned.

Jefferson should have been retained. Gash I am with because honestly I dont like the way any of our backs run. To many times they stop in the hole or try to make moves when they need to just get some yards. Not saying its all his fault but leshoure looked hesitant most of the year. Crossman our st guy recovered well after those two games. By the numbers we had one of the best punt and kick coverage units if you exclude those two horrendous games. also he is considered one of the best in the business. Linehan should have been shown the door because honestly his playcalling was predictable and boring and strictly predicated on player packages so when certain guys were in you new what was coming. Gun im either way on although the defense was middle of the pack and had absolutely no secondary but still kept us in games when the offense looked terrible. Schwartz should have gone IMO because this team quit on him and didnt respect him or the team in the offseason. He needs to be a leader.

Not talking about the team as a whole but way to many off the field things as well as selfishness on this team. It was maddening.

0-8 to finish the season, HCs have been fired for less. I'm looking at you Rahim Morris who followed up a youngry 10-6 with a tank job and got shown the door.

Cunningham should have been out last year. I don't know if I can stand to watch another year of rushing 4....dropping 7....and watching even the average QB's pick us apart. The lack of blitzing, in todays game, is inexcusable.
