Mayhew said he hopes to renegotiate or extend QB Matthew Stafford this offseason.

Mayhew said his relationship with Jim Schwartz is the same it was back in 2009 and any reports on it being strained were "erroneous."

Mayhew said the biggest mistake he made last year was counting on Jahvid Best to come back.

Mayhew said he expects to be back next year and that all decisions regarding Jim Schwartz's coaching staff are up to Schwartz.

Mayhew said Suh was only player he thought improved from the previous year on defense.
With 8 free agents, we could see a lot of changes.

Mayhew also said there was "more interior pressure than we had last year" when talking about the offensive line. More changes?

If Mayhew thinks Suh was the only defensive player to meet expectations this year, it is a huge indictment of the coaching staff.

Sounds to me like Mayhew would like to make a DC change....but the Schwartz might be against it.

Maybe he enjoys close loses....cause with Gunther, that's what we get.
