And in 2020 or 2021 if Matt still hasn’t won a playoff game the lions will have new coaches and a different qb starting. Hopefully we can turn a corner and get payoff win in 2019 !

Great hands and tall. Also blocks really well. Despite his size, is absolutely awful after the catch. Definitely an upgrade, although that wouldn't have been hard to accomplish among present company.

I keep hearing fans (not just here, radio, etc...) saying Jesse James has great hands.

Yet, the one knock on his scouting report is that he has a limit skill set when catching, but is a dominant run blocking TE.

Scouts or fans... someone seems confused.

I think the limited skill set comes from his limited route ability. He is an on the line old school te. Better than average hands but not a elite athlete.

My post, as most of them are, was strictly anecdotal. I watched probably 6 or 7 Steelers games last season and he always seemed to make the catch over the middle. Granted we're not talking circus catches, but I don't recall a single drop. I remember thinking how lucky they were to have James and MacDonald, I liked them both.

I could certainly be off base, I didn't check his actual drop % numbers.
