Lions vs 49er Predictions

I'm betting on the Lions this week so this will be the week they don't show up.

West coast team coming to Michigan.

Lions playing well.

Lions D line.

Calvin.

As long as Frank Gore and Vernon Davis don't go off I can't see Detroit not covering -4.

Anyone else scared of this matchup?

49ers can run the ball, take time off the clock, and limit the big play, they match up really well against the Lions. I am worried we might be handed our first loss (but then again I am every week -- force of habit I guess).

Sure the Niners are tough against the run, but they are weak against the pass. I'm trusting Schwartz & Co will have come to recognize the error of their ways from Mondays game where they had several late drives stall because they abandoned the passing game altogether in the name of running out the clock, but as a result gave Chicago a glimmer of hope. Instead they will look to score TDs and squash all hope. Plus Megatron was NOT happy that they didn't throw to him at the end of the game when he had single coverage inside the 30 and therefore did not get his 2nd TD. I look for him to get 3 TDs to return his average to 2 per game as the coaches say a mia culpa. Niners will not have an answer for Megatron, but eventually will try to double cover him leaving others wide open. Look for Young and Nate to also get TDs, and with everyone looking for the pass, Best will break another nice run for a TD. With the score getting out of hand, Niners revert to passing more than running and the DL has their best game of the year to date, including Fairley getting his 1st sack which will feel so nice, he'll do it twice.

yes, the 49ers give up a lot of passing yards. But, they have 9 INTs on the year. Stafford better be very careful. That's the only part of the game I'm worried about. We should move the ball well, but Stafford needs to be sharp.

Same thing was pretty much said about the Bears...

The number of sacks SF has given up is pretty bad, considering the amount they pass. Hopefully Mr Suh and the Detroit Wrecking Crew can get good consistant pressure. If they do, Lions 23-20

SF has a dangerous TE to utilize( V Davis) unlike the Bears. We can't cover the guy

I personally don't think the 49ers are as good as their record indicates. I think they have been playing over their head the past couple of weeks and have been living off of the big play (offensively and defensively)

I think the bears are a better team than the 49ers.

I could be wrong...but that's just what I think.
