Well, this is all the result of not caring about your secondary and drafting for need. You are left with a 2nd year rookie who basically didn't play, and another guy who probably only has 1 or two years left, and is at best, a "good" CB. Had to have that TE/WR Hybrid.

That's why the Lions are looking at guys like Champ Bailey and Roc someone, they are down to Plan D.

People act like Champ Bailey was horrendous the last few years, and that's just not the case. Yes, he's past his prime, and he's definitely lost a step, but he's still playing better than 50% of the CBS in the league.

The guy is 36, not 56. He's still a guy who can make plays and can make the younger players he's with better not just this year, but long term. I'd be happy to see him in Honolulu Blue and Silver, even if it's just for one year.

I'm hoping they give him a two year deal with only the first year guaranteed. I think he can play well for two more seasons and I'd love to see him do it here.

So in that case guaranteeing his first year would probably not be the best idea. If he can string a few games together though for sure take him, between him and Mathis we may get 16.

He got a 2 year deal in NO.....but was cut in the preseason. He AGAIN has the option to pick his team and he's working out for the Lions....who aren't really even trying to sign him??

That tells me he has FEW to no other options. That means he has little left in terms of talent.

i will say he is quite quick on the posts, often covers multiple threads with ease every day. rotates through existing posts and creating new ones based on current info with good fluidity too.
