Wow I didn't realize Inge, Henneman, or Todd Jones played long enough to hold those records. Holding a record for strikeouts in a Tiger uniform... not a way to get popular.
 
Verlander with 1789 K's... I wonder with his injury if he still has a shot at Mickey Lolich's 2679 still? Going into this season I thought he was a lock to catch ML.. Probably still is.. Hope he does...

Oldest living former Tiger was Johnny Groth 94 years, 165 days as of 01/04/21 (1946-52) (1957.5-60).

Passed away August 7, 2021 RIP


Former Tiger Eddie Robinson born 12/15/20 (1957) made it to 100, but that's as far as he got, passing away on 10/04/21.



Oldest living former Tiger as of 03/28/22 is Roy Face born 02/20/28 age 94. Pitched in only 2 appearances in 1968 as a Tiger. Face's contract was sold to the Tigers on August 31, 1968 from the NL Pittsburgh Pirates.



Oldest Tiger to be still be playing on a Tigers team was Hughie Jennings September 2, 1918 @ 49 years, 153 days.

According to the Baseball Almanac, Sam (Wahoo) Crawford, who played multiple positions for the Tigers 1905-17 has the most career triples all-time, with 309 (including with the Cincy Reds 1899-1902) to 295 for Cobb (including Philly Athletics 1927-28).
