Easy does it: 2013 Cy Young picks pretty clear-cut.

From that link, the two votes that prevented Max from getting a unanimous 30-30 Cy win:

J.P. Hoornstra, Los Angeles News Group
picked Chris Sale #1, Yu Darvish #2, Max Sherzer #3, Felix Hernandez #4, and Anibal Sanchez #5. If I had a vote, Sale would be no higher than # 5 if not #6 after Bartolo Colon.

Mike Berardino, St. Paul Pioneer Press
picked Anibal Sanchez #1, Max Scherzer #2, Felix Hernandez #3, Chris Sale #4, and Yu Darvish #5. If Max had received 29 of 30 first place votes with this pick being the only exception, then I would be very POed, even though he chose two Tigers as #1 and #2. I would feel that it was done maliciously & intentionally to ruin Max' chances of getting a more rare unanimous BBWAA CYA vote.

It doesn't really matter to me. If Sanchez didn't get hurt, IMO, we'd be looking at a different Cy Young recipient.

Why Anibal Sanchez earned a first-place vote over Max Scherzer for Cy Young.

Fair enough. Though run support doesn't do it justice IMO. If the team scored 8 for him he still might have only given up one. By itself run support isn't a stat I'd look at. But Sanchez had a great year.

It is when everyone goes gaga over the "W" stat. Then run support is a huge factor.

What I meant was some make it sound like he'd be a 12 game winner if it wasn't for the runs. Have to delve deeper..
