McShay/Kiper v2.0

I love D. Moore but they have to go Millner if he's there at #5.

im starting to feel the same. mainly cause of all the DE depth in this draft. You will definitely get starter quality in rds 1 2 and 3 at DE.

FA:
Give Kruger 10 mil a year.
Idonije last resort

Draft:
Margus Hunt or Alex Okafor in rd 2.
Gholston or Tank Carradine in rd 3.

Give me datone jones from ucla over hunt. Not sure I understand the hard on for that kid.. There are much better options in the second and third for our team.

I'd rather have Xavier (drawing a blank) from FSU later on than draft Millner that high.

Also saw Mcshays latest has Geno Smith going #8 to the Bills.

Its mainly his size and athletic ability. dude is 6'8 275....so hed be a nice fill on KVBs side. Not to mention hes from estonia.....they like carry builders around all day for fun in estonia :D

If i had my dream draft i think id go Moore DE in rd 1 and Wreh-Wilson CB in rd 2. but i dont think either guy falls that far.

I'd like Werner or Moore and then Jordan Poyer in the second. Pretty similar hopes.

My thoughts on Jarvis Jones and Moore after watching their film against Alabama:

Looking towards the future I like Jones more because he shows great awareness and has the speed to get around the end. But currently Moore looks more like a DE and has the skills to make an impact now.

If we picked Jones, I can only see him as being brought in on obvious passing downs because he really needs to bulk up. If we were to trade back a few picks and still get him I'd be fine with that. But I think the Lions need a DE who can make an impact immediately. If Moore does have character issues, then I don't want us drafting him either. Not really sure right now who I want us to take if we stay at #5.

Everyone from the sec has character concerns..

If the organization never like Avril cause he was in the OLB mold that had to bulk up....then i dont see why they would want Jones who is going to take a few years to do the same thing.

Yeah, lets make the number 5 pick a part time player. Lol.

That's not true, Willie young was small but he was a late pick so he can take the time to bulk up. Top 5 better be ready to go no drafting for the next regime.

I don't understand the CB need that you guys are expressing. The biggest need in our secondary is FS and SS (as long as Houston is resigned). Those were our 2 weakest positions, especially with Delmas out and never healthy all year. In the wide 9 system we run, we just need guys who can get off the ball (Avril, LoJack, Young, and KVB before he took a nose dive). Even Everett Brown had some success in our system last year in the preseason.

Last year the Lions invested in the future, getting corners and lb's to develop. This year I hope they look at the Safety position and stock up on guys who can locate the ball. I'd much rather see us trade down a couple spots and maybe pick up an extra 3rd round pick. Even if we don't though, drafting Kenny Vaccaro at #5 still gets you a day 1 starter who will make a huge impact on our secondary.
