Go Blue! We should win our first game. Illinois is playing better, but they aren't good. Iowa still thinks that playing defense is just a theory and not a true concept.

I was looking at those numbers the other day and remembering the tournaments I was at UI for ('04-'06). they were very good... made the national
final in '05... but me and my fellow Michigan alums would sit there watching Amaker's teams blow game after game.

the Big Ten tournaments were the worst because we'd get our hopes up for an improbable run, and a tournament qualification, and yet we'd piss everything away. Everything that could go wrong, did.

only fun thing was watching Big Lug Graham Brown knocking people over with his brutal screens. Everyone else was a disappointment in those years. I remember no one ever living up to the hype.

Every year, Amaker would be on the tip of the bubble...needing only a couple of wins in the BTT...only to lose the very first game...

I forgot they won the NIT in 2004... that was kinda good.

Yeah, that was an irritating game to watch, stoppages, fouls, poor play, refs dictating everything, turnovers, both teams substituting players every stoppage.

This is Iowa's first btt since 2013 and Fran is now 3-7 in btt play. They had lost 5 in a row in the btt.

Rutgers was down 24-8 and will be the first 14 seed to make it to the quarterfinals. Yeah its only a few seasons lol.
