Did you guys see this interview he just did? yowza.

Glass houses...

Not sure where "making up heart conditions to ditch a contract" falls on the Excuse Making spectrum, but I am glad SOMEBODY in college football finally said this:
""Those are your players. I hear TV guys [say], 'Wait until they get their own players in there.' They're our players. What do you mean 'their players?' The minute you sign a contract, they're your players.
"You didn't choose me, I chose you. You're mine, absolutely. I love you, and I'm going to kick the shit out of you, and we're going to do it right ?

"[Blaming players] drives me insane."

Pretty easy to say this when you walk into programs loaded with talent. Urban can go fuck himself.

He's right, though ..as hypocritical as he may be. I've never bought the 'my guys' nonsense ...esp w/RR. Harbaugh may now have 'his guys' in terms of recruiting, but he took what Hoke left -- brought in a throw away in Rudock - and coached the team to 10 wins. RR would have eeked out a 7-5 mark and blamed the team.

I respectfully hate Urban Meyer

Hey, you know what your mama used to say. If you cant say anything mean (about Urban Meyer), it's better to say nothing at all.

I don't agree with him completely. Sometimes a coach may come into a program that is depleted in talent and the cupboard is bare. Sometimes it takes a few years to get a program off the ground. It does take a good 5 years to get your players fully in and your system fully in and to lay some good recruiting groundwork. Other times you come into a program and there is talent there that was misused. There is no situation that covers every situation.

That being said, you certainly do not come out in public and say that the team you inherited is junk, untalented, that the cupboard is bare, that it is impossible to win with the players you inherited, etc etc etc. You are completely allowed to believe this and to think this, but you don't voice it out loud. That's just stupid!
