Sagarin shows:

michigan 12.59 12.09 13.46 12.26

Edit: Just noticed four B1G teams in his Top 10.
1. Ohio State
8. Michigan
9. Penn State
10. Wisconsin

Sagarin's ratings predict a 12 pt win @Indiana. We have a better SOS than them as well.

I think 12 pts is not enough though...We need to beat the tar out of them; I'm tired of IU playing us close a week or two before the OSU game.

that savage cheap shot they took at one of our guys late in the game last year deserves a 30 pt revenge beating

I think we're playing like the second best team in the conference; will be interesting to see if that's enough to give OSU a game

I don't see how the line is only 8.5

I see UM winning by at least 2 TDs

Honestly I could see IU sneaking in and winning by 2 scores. I'm sorry, I still can't buy into this team or coaching staff. They appear to be scripted and predicable. UM should have much better overall talent than IU, so UM might battle out of a loss. OSU on the other hand is going to exploit that predicability and hammer us big time. Probably worse than last year.

Harbaugh?s redemption will come when he wins out. Until then he?s just an average coach.

Both Simon Stepaniak (cheap shot on Winovich) and Cam Jones (cheap shot on Edwards) both still play for Indiana. I'll be surprised if there isn't a dust up somewhere between one or both.

I'll murder them myself

I feel more confident about both Indiana and OSU this year than I did last year. This year's team is getting better each week whereas last year's team started to play worse each of the last 3-4 weeks. I agree with Champ in that, as of right now, Michigan looks like the 2nd best team in the league. The first half of the year they looked like the 5th or 6th best team at best.

I think that loss to OSU last year might have been the best thing that could happen to them. Don Brown has made the adjustment to mixing in zone coverage instead of stubbornly playing man 99% of the time, Harbaugh hired someone who is familiar with modern offenses even though he wants to run a manball offense and now that they're all on the same page they're peaking at the right time. The thing that stood out to me more than anything else Jim said was that Gattis and the offensive staff not only knew how to attack MSU. but they even game planned for the adjustments that MSU would make in response to what Michigan was trying to do and they were right on almost all of them. That's impressive and encouraging, because we've been saying for years that MSU and OSU seem to be 1 step ahead of us every year.

Another encouraging thing to come out is Gattis saying that they have started to spend time each week preparing for OSU. That's something that Meyer and Tressell always did and our coaches stubbornly refused to do.

And I get that there are 1000 variables to consider, but OSU just gave up 21 points to Rutgers. They're not impossible to beat. The margin for error is razor-thin playing them but the way Michigan has played on both sides of the ball for the last 3 games, the game is in A2 and the fact that the coaches have been putting extra emphasis on this game make me think that this is the year that it can all come together. I'm not predicting a win just yet, but everyone seems to already assume that the game is a lost cause and I don't see it that way.

I wouldn't take any meaning from the 21 points to RU.

I think the main thing that UM has going for it vs. OSU is that it's a home game. OSU hasn't played a tough road game all year. @ IND @ NEB @ NW @ RU are 4 cakewalks (average score was 52-10)

Yep. 14 of their points were after OSU pulled their starters.

We do not have a home field advantage against OSU. There is so much red all over the Big House every year the game is in A2 now. We're 2-7 at home against them since 2000.

I was just about to say the same thing; the biggest advantage we have is OSU's schedule thus far: no tough road games prior to playing us. They also go UW at a good time. we'll see how they do against Penn St. this week.

Prior to last week, home field advantage only mattered if we weren't playing MSU or OSU... we were 0-4 at home against both in Harbaugh's first 4 years.

OSU really does look unbeatable though; I was looking at stats this year, and they are ahead of us in every statistical category I saw.

also Sagarin's rating scale would have OSU a favorite against every other college football team, regardless of where the game was played

I guess OSU is getting bored with kicking our ass every year. Just got this:

Michigan Athletics: ALL HAIL! Tickets just returned for our BIG football game vs Ohio State. Saturday 11/30 at 12pm. Buy South Endzone seats for $150 each!

In 1971, the face value of my North Endzone ticket was six bucks.

That is awesome. I've been lucky in the amount of free tickets I have been given over the years. Have a few connections that usually come through every year.

Still hoping they hit me up to take some basketball tickets this year.

For several years as a kid, Ann Arbor Boy Scouts (which I was one) got to see games free in exchange for escorting feeble old alums to their seats. After everyone was seated we?d sit on the stadium steps and watch the game.

Heard the MSU allotment returned was out of ordinary and compared to the past two prior games vs MSU in A2, there was far less green and white than normal.
