I grew up watching Western Hockey in Lawson Arena . My dad was the Goal Judge for many years so i always got to sit on the glass in the first row next to his goal judge box . Our family also hosted a few Western Players for a few Thanksgiving meals ... Rob Hodge , Keith Bertleson , Bob Skirfield to name a few . My pop also went to Western so i have always followed them , remember watching Kip Acton , Bernie Saunders and Glenn Healy . I used to go in the tunnel where they came in and out of the rink and after the games i would get like 4 or 5 sticks from the players , was a very cool time in my young life !!

Very cool. Sitting on the glass is always a bonus !

Michigan at MSU Saturday night in East Lansing. Can Mel figure and coach this team out if it?s extended slump ? The team can?t play defense, and when they so play defense and get good goaltending they don?t score. They have 24 games left. They need to turn this around or it will be a long season. We turn the puck over way right much.

Lost in East Lansing 3-0. Mel?s team starts Big ten Play 0-5-1. Team is 3-7-2 overall and sinking faster then the Titanic under Mel.

Michigan heads East to play 5-4-1 New Hampshire and wins 4-1 improving to 4-7-2 overall and still 0-5-1 in conference. No recap yet. Same teams play Saturday.

Sadly Michigan can’t win two in a row. Team lost at New Hampshire tonight 3-2 in ot.
4-8-2 overall and 0-5-1 in conference.

Sat. UM Lost at Wisconsin 3-2. 4-9-2, and 0-6-1.

Sun. Um 3 Wisconsin 1 final. 5-9-2, and 1-6-1 overall.

Nice win tonight over #6 Psu 4-1. Michigan wins 4-1, and improves to 6-9-2, and 2-6-1 in the Big Ten. Same teams play again Saturday in AA. Also. This is 9 in a row over Psu at Yost arena.

Lost tonight?s game 2-1. Now 2-7-1 in conference and 6-10-2 overall. First win by Psu at Yost in 10 attempts.

Michigan hockey is at mid season Christmas break after a frustrating start to the season 2-7-1 in conference and 6-10-2 overall. Team had a lot of close tough losses.

Next set of games is at the Great Lakes Invitational on Monday December 30th.

Michigan starts the second half of the season with two games at Norte Dame this weekend and on Friday they won 3-0. Improving to 8-11-2, and 3-7-1 in conference. Same two teams play in south bend Saturday night. ND falls to 5-4-3 in conference and 10-8-3 overall.

Michigan has a long way to go to get out of the big ten bottom two teams.
